We work on packing everything up for hours, and I’m strangely calm. I still haven’t been upstairs, but there’s been so much to pack downstairs, I won’t have to face it for another few days at least.
Grinny calls Theo as we’re about to go to his house to shower and she invites us to The Dancing Emu with Peg and Helen. He has her on speakerphone and lifts his eyes in question before answering.
“Callum’s coming over to discuss plans, isn’t he?” I ask.
“Oh, that’s right. Sorry, Grinny. I think we’re going to have to miss out on the Golden Girls tonight.”
“Want me to see if Callum will meet us there?” she asks. “A little work, a little play?”
I nod and he grins.
“Grinny, if you manage to get Callum to The Dancing Emu, you areon.” He laughs. “Otherwise, we’ll have to take a rain check on a night out with you and the girls.”
“I’ll see what I can do,” she says, hanging up.
We head to the house, Fred prancing next to me. Theo goes outside with him for a few minutes, and I hurry to the shower. It’s impossible to get one when Theo’s around…and not have an extended wet, slippery, groping all the body parts sexy-time session.
