“Not yet, but it could be arranged.”

“Was that plan B if I’d said no?”

I swallowed, realizing then what he was saying.

Hudson had said yes. To me. To a second chance.

Holy shit.

A line formed between his brows. “Drew?”

“You’re not messing with me?”

A wisecrack was on the tip of his tongue, I could tell, but then his eyes softened. “Not at all.”

Angling my head, I pressed my lips against his. “People will think you’ve lost your mind,” I warned.

“Since when do you care what anyone thinks?”

“Imay also question your sanity.”

“Self-sabotage doesn’t suit you.”

“Hmm. Maybe you’re right.” I leaned in for another kiss, but my phone went off, rudely interrupting.

Hudson squeezed my ass and then rolled me off him. “You should get that. I’ll check in with Levi and see if we can head that way soon.”

“Oh, that’s right, we’re not just in this hotel room for our pleasure.” I chuckled and grabbed my phone. “Speak of the devil. Hey, Levi.”

Hudson turned back around, and I put the call on speakerphone.

“Good morning. I trust you and Hudson made it through the storm all right?”

All rightwould be an understatement. “We did. Looking forward to heading your way soon.”

“Perfect. Everything’s on for the event tonight, and Viper would like to meet with you two beforehand. There’s a ten-forty-five and a one-fifteen ferry, so just let me know which one you’ll be taking.”

I glanced at my phone for the time. “We can make the early one no problem.”

“Great, I’ll let our driver know, and he’ll meet you at the exit.”

“Thanks a lot, Levi. See you soon.”

As I ended the call, I looked up to see Hudson leaning back against the wall, naked and fully on display as he stroked his dick.

My body instantly heated. “What are you doing, troublemaker?”

“Think we have time for a long shower?”

I was out of the bed in a heartbeat, ferry be damned.

AN HOUR LATER we were on our way, cocks satiated, and somehow still on time. As I drove us to the ferry, Hudson stretched out in the passenger seat, flipping through the radio stations until he landed on the one he wanted.

I recognized Sawyer’s voice instantly, though he didn’t sound like his usual cheery self. In fact, he sounded a little pissed off.

“Is your brother okay?” I asked.

“What, spouting angsty poems and playing breakup songs on air isn’t healthy?”
