“Fine,” Xander grumbles, reminding me of a small child who is upset about not getting his way. “We’ll let her handle her own shit,”hespits out. “But the second we think that she isn’t okay, we’re handlin’ it.” He crosses his heavily tattooed arms across his chest, making saliva pool in my mouth since he is only in a white tank top. Dear Lord, I really want to thank whoever invented those things, because damn is it a nice sight.

I shake my head in exasperation. “I give up. Just try to behave yourselves, otherwise, you might find yourself ingesting unfortunate substances thanks to a pissed off girl.”

I turn around and walk out of the breakroom and down the hall to my office. Only once I sit down in my chair do I remember that I went in there originally to get myself some coffee.

“Dammit,” I groan as I lean my head against my hand. “I am definitely not going back in there right now.”

I purse my lips in displeasure as I wake up my computer. I might as well kill time by going over some of these reports. Thankfully, it’s not as harrowing of a task now that I’ve brought them into this century.

My cell ringing brings me out of my budget trance. I glance at the screen and see that I’ve already been at this for over an hour. Huh.

I smile widely when I see the name on the screen. “Hey you.”

“Sup’ twat?” My sister Danica, Dani for short, says.

I snort and shake my head. “Nothing, just working on some budgeting. What are you doing? Being a lazy piece of shit?”

“Just because some of us don’t slave away for someone else doesn’t mean we’re lazy. Ever hear of working smarter, not harder?” she replies, and I can hear the smile in her voice. Dani runs her own cooking video channel and does really well. She’s probably one of the least laziest people in the world but I can’t stop myself from giving her crap. It’s a sister thing.

“The only thing you work hard at is making sure that your makeup looks good on camera,” I deadpan.

I can hear her cluck her tongue. “Bitch, some of us actually give a shit about what we look like. Not all of us can just show up looking like a train wreck who hasn’t showered in weeks.”

I jump when I hear manly chuckles at the door. My face turns bright red when I see Xander, Jax and Marrow standing there. Did I mention that I put her on speaker phone? Fuck my life.

“What’s that sound?” Dani asks. “Is that your new biker bosses? Not to be confused with your old biker boss. Will you finally tell me if they’re hot? Because if so, I’ll definitely come and visit your disheveled looking ass,” she fires out rapidly like the true asshole that she is.

“Will you shut up!” I hiss. “You’re on freaking speakerphone.” I glance at the guys and see them all giving me amused smirks. Just kill me now.

“That’s your own damn fault,” she snorts. “You know I am not a person you put on speakerphone. Kenzie, yes. Me? Fuck no,” she says referring to our older sister, the nice and responsible one.

“I hate you,” I say without any heat behind it.

“I hate you too. But I’m still willing to be nice and visit you if you’re surrounded by hot bikers.”

“Nope, they’re not good looking at all. They’re all old, balding and fat.” I keep my eyes away from the door.

“Hrmph.” I can picture her pout. “You’re just saying that because you don’t want me to come and meet them.”

“They’re actually nice, which obviously means that I won’t be subjecting them to my crazy little sister,” I smirk.

“Bitch, we’re eighteen months apart. We’re practically twins.” Her pause makes me smile because I know what’s coming. “On second thought, you’re right, you are way older and will definitely turn into the Crypts Keeper long before I will.”

“Please,” I giggle, “with your obsessionwith makeup, I’m surprised people don’t mistake you for a corpse already.”

“I will gut you, hooker,” she growls. “Take that back.”

“Never. You walk around looking likeyou 'realready buried.”

“You really want to start this shit? We both know that I am way more petty than you’ll ever be. And I’m savage on top of it.” She’s not wrong about that.

“Should we come back later?” Marrowasks, wearinga big smile.

I shake my head. “Nope, I’m done talking to this nutcase.”

“Seriously, they sound hot. I’m coming to visit,” Dani practically yells.

“I’m hanging up now. Tell mom and dad I said hi.”
