“What side do you prefer?” Kaan's question breaks through my thoughts, bringing me back to the present moment.

“Your choice.”

I shrug at him so he points at his suit bag. “This works.”

“Fine.”

“Do you want the first shower?”

I take a deep breath, realizing that I need a few moments alone to gather my thoughts and compose myself. Shaking my head slightly, I reply, “No, I need to unpack. You go ahead.”

“Right then. See you soon.”

Kaan disappears into the bathroom before popping his head back out, his eyes mischievous and a huge grin on his face. “Great news, Nutmeg.”

“What?”

“I can definitely swing a cat in here.”

He disappears and I can hear his chuckle from behind the door.

The sound makes me smile.

When Panic Strikes Back

THIS JUST IN:

Hello, hello, hello, my fellow gossip queens. I have a juicy update to share with you all.

It seems that our rockstar, Kaan, is in Istanbul to attend the wedding of Turkish celebrity chef, Aydin Kaya, and his Australian bride-to-be this weekend. And let me tell you, this wedding is going to be one for the books.

Now, some of you may be wondering who Aydin Kaya is. Well, let me tell you, this man knows his way around a kitchen. He’s the Turkish version of Gordon Ramsay, except with a lot more charm and hopefully a lot less swearing. And apparently, he’s also quite the ladies’ man—he was once married to current Hollywood ‘It’ girl Simge Kaya.

But don’t worry about Simge, she’s much too busy filming her new movie, “Fortress Jupiter” in Nevada, to even think about her ex!

I’m Pippa Ellis, and this is Fame and No-sense.

I spent way too long in the bathroom, but it was mostly out of nerves more than anything. When I open the bathroom door, Kaan is nowhere to be found. I pop my head out the door and then check my phone. There’s a text from him telling me he will meet me in the main house.

I think he knows I needed some time to collect my thoughts. I’m grateful that I don’t have to face him right now.

Still wrapped in my towel I flop down on the bed and examine my nails as though they’re the most fascinating things I’ve ever seen. I had them done the day before, a deep bronze… the exact same colour as Kaan’s eyes.

Does my subconscious hate me, or is it trying to tell me something?

My eyes flick across the room and I audibly groan as my gaze rests on tonight’s outfit. A black leather bustier and a long tuille skirt in the same deep bronze hangs from the wardrobe door with matching heels neatly placed underneath. The bustier belongs to Courtney, but the skirt? I searched online for weeks for the perfect skirt. When I came across this deep bronze tulle tutu I didn’t hesitate for a moment and purchased it on the spot.

A therapist would have a field day with me!

A knock at the door startles me and Ginny walks in wearing a gorgeous, black dress that accentuates her curves, while her hair is a wild mass of black curls. She looks positively radiant. “You’re still not dressed? What’s taking you so long?”

“I’m just hating on myself.”

Ginny slips off her killer heels and lies down on the other side of the bed. I laugh as I reach my hand out to touch hers and realise, our fingertips don’t touch. “This bed really is ridiculous.”
