Well, crafts and probably some shenanigans, but Leo, her own Daddy, didn’t need to know that because then he definitely wouldn’t let her out of his sight.

“I’m here!” Sadie announced from the hallway.

Clapping her hands, Brynn bounced up and down on the balls of her feet. “Yay! Bye, Daddy! I love you!”

She ran over to Maddox and flung her arms around his waist. His arms tightened around her before he released her and cupped her chin. “Be good. I love you and be safe. No talking to strangers.”

Shooting him an exasperated look, Brynn shook her head. “Daddy, we’re in a place that is safe. Remember? You talked to Master Derek yourself about the security and background checks. Everyone here has been vetted.”

He grumbled but finally nodded. “Fine. Just be safe and have fun. Call me if you need anything.”

The women filed out of the room just as Addie, Ellie, Nora, and Ava came out of another room and together, the nine women followed Sadie toward the Littles’ wing.

It was so exciting being in a place where they could be Little all the time. Sadie seemed full of energy as she skipped along, chattering with whoever would listen.

As they walked, Brynn saw Wren walking their way with a big smile on her face as she waved at them. “Are you guys going to make floats too?”

“Yep!” Brynn said as Wren joined them.

“Oh goody! It’s going to be so fun. I was talking to my Daddy last night, and since the horses will be a part of the parade, we get to put tinsel in their manes and use stencils to paint cute stuff on their back legs the day before the parade.”

Sadie suddenly stopped and turned to look at Wren with a slow smile spreading across her face. “We get to paint the horses?”

Wren nodded. “Yep. Daddy got some paint that’s safe to use on horses so we can use the stencils or paint their tails or whatever.”

Brynn watched as the two women stared at each other for a long moment, seemingly having a silent conversation with each other before Sadie turned and started skipping again. “This is going to be so much fun!”

Furrowing her eyebrows, Brynn looked over at Emma in confusion. What had just happened? She had no idea but whatever it was, she wanted to know.

Maddox

Derek metthe men in the lobby as they made their way toward the class for caregivers. Maddox liked the guy. The way he took care of so many Littles and gave them a safe place to call home touched his heart. It was obvious the man loved what he did as well.

“Good morning,” Derek greeted.

“Morning. How are things this morning?” Maddox asked.

Derek smiled. “Good as always. No trouble yet but it’s still early. If I know the Littles on this Ranch, I know it won’t be long, though.”

The men all chuckled and nodded. Yeah, that’s how it was with all their women. If it wasn’t one of them getting into trouble, it was another. But it kept them all on their toes, and Maddox loved that they all felt safe enough to be naughty when they wanted to be.

“I talked to Travis this morning about the parade, and we are going to have some of the horses be a part of it. We thought since your Littles are all so excited about the horses they’d like to help Wren with getting the horses ready. They’ll help groom them and decorate their manes and that kind of stuff. They would be supervised, of course, to make sure they’re all safe.”

Knox nodded. “Addie would love that. She’s been dying to spend time with the horses.”

Wolf nodded. “Lucy too. But you’re sure they’ll be safe?”

Before he’d met Brynn, Maddox probably would have given his brother shit for being so damn overprotective of Lucy, but now he completely understood why his brother was that way.

The Ranch owner smiled and nodded. “We can’t guarantee Littles won’t get hurt from time to time. It’s just the nature of being on a Ranch, but the horses are always fully vetted before we allow Littles to be around them and even then, there is an experienced stable person there to help if there are any accidents.”

Well, he would much prefer guaranteed safety, but Maddox also knew he had to compromise. As annoying as it was to have to do sometimes.

Leo smiled and nodded. “I think all the girls will love it. We don’t exactly have very many horses in Seattle, so it will be a special treat for them.”

They were interrupted by Derek’s phone ringing. He excused himself to take the call but almost immediately turned around as he slid his phone into his pocket.

“Told you it was only a matter of time before trouble would start. I think you guys might want to follow me to the Littles’ wing.”
