Her bottom was on fire and her heart hurt and all she wanted to do was sit in her Daddy’s lap and snuggle. She cried loudly and then the spanking stopped and she was pulled up into his arms. She cried even harder as he held her.
“I’m s-sorry, Daddy. I’ll n-never do it again.”
Wolf tightened his arms around her and nuzzled his face into her neck. “I know, babygirl. I forgive you. I just don’t want my sweet baby to get hurt. It would make Daddy so sad.”
Nodding, she sniffled. “I know, Daddy. I don’t ever wanna make you sad.”
She stayed in his arms for a long time, snuggling into his warm chest for comfort as he rocked her. It sounded like the other Littles had returned to swimming, but all she wanted right then was her Daddy. Thankfully, he never minded when she was being clingy.
After a long while, he pulled her away from his chest and looked down at her with concern. “Do you want to go swim for a little while before it’s time to go back and take a nap?”
Nodding, she sniffed. “Yes, please.”
Smiling down at her, he set her on her feet and pulled her swimsuit back up into place before he cupped her chin and kissed her softly. “Go play. Have fun. I’m right here.”
Making sure to walk slowly, she made her way back into the pool, hissing as the cool water hit her hot bottom. Several of the other women who’d gotten in trouble had red-rimmed eyes from crying, but other than that, all of them were back to having a great time as they splashed and threw beach balls and squealed with excitement.
It only took a few minutes before her sore bottom was forgotten, and she was playing with her friends, having the time of her life. And every time she looked to her Daddy, his eyes were glued to her with a look of such love that it made the butterflies inside her tummy fly around like crazy. She truly was the luckiest woman in the world.
Chapter Fourteen
Maddox and Brynn
Brynn
“Daddy,are you excited for the Fourth of July?”
Maddox was sitting on the couch in their suite watching her play. “Of course I am. It’s our first holiday together, and I can’t wait to watch fireworks with you.”
Clapping her hands, Brynn crawled over to where he was sitting and reached up for him to pick her up.
He grinned and lifted her onto his lap, holding her tightly against his chest. “We need to get going so you can help get the horses ready for the parade tomorrow morning.”
Brynn and the rest of the women had helped finish the floats earlier in the day and had taken a break for lunch and naptime. Now they got to go to the stables and help get the horses ready by braiding their manes, putting decorations on their saddles, adding tinsel strands to their tails, and whatever else they could think of to make the gentle giants as beautiful as possible for the parade.
Reaching up, she cupped her Daddy’s face in her hands and leaned in to kiss him. “Thank you for taking the time off to come to Rawhide Ranch. I’ve never gone on a vacation before, and I’m having the best time. It means so much to me, Daddy.”
His hand came to the back of her neck, squeezing gently. “It’s my life’s mission to make you the happiest Little girl in the world. When we get home, I want you to make a list of all the things you’ve never done before that you’ve always wanted to, and we are going to make it our bucket list to do together. Deal?”
Tears filled her eyes, and it felt as though her heart was going to beat out of her chest. Her crummy past was all worth it just so she could be with this man. He was everything and more to her, and he treated her like she was the most precious thing in the world to him, a feeling she’d never felt before in her entire life.
“I have a gift for you before we go to the stables,” he said.
Her eyes widened. Maddox spoiled her rotten, and she was constantly telling him that he needed to stop buying her stuff, but he never listened. He could be stubborn sometimes.
Moving her to the seat next to him, he stood and went to the closet. He pulled out a large gift bag and brought it to her, setting it down at her feet.
Biting her bottom lip, she eyed the bag. “Is it an implement you made to spank me with?”
He chuckled and shook his head. “Open it and see.”
Ripping the tissue paper out of the bag, she pulled out the box that was inside and opened the lid, letting out a squeal of excitement as her eyes landed on a pair of hot pink cowgirl boots similar to the ones Wren wore that Brynn was absolutely in love with. “Daddy! I can’t believe you got me these!”
When she looked up at him, his eyes sparkled as he watched her with such enchantment it took her breath away.
“I know you really liked Wren’s boots, and when I saw these in the store here, I knew my babygirl needed to have them. You can wear them in the parade tomorrow to show them off.”
Hugging the boots to her chest, she smiled up at him, her eyes filling with tears. Dropping the boots, she lunged at him, throwing her arms around his neck. “Thank you, Daddy. I love you so much.”
