As we step into the apartment, the real estate agent begins his well-rehearsed spiel, his voice ringing with practiced eloquence.“Welcome to your next house. This is a sanctuary nestled in the heart of New York City. This magnificent three-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment is positioned in a boutique building in one of the most desirable locations in New York City.”

I tune him out.I swear, if I have to hear him one more time, I might shoot him, which could get me in trouble. My license to kill doesn’t include annoying realtors. Why didn’t I get the one who sold us the house in Brooklyn a few years back?

He clears his throat.“This isn’t just an address. It’s your new home.”

“Look at this view.”My beautiful ballerina drags us to the balcony. At least this time we weren’t faced with a stupid brick wall or a couple fucking against the window.

Grey wraps an arm around her, kissing the top of her head.“Then let’s keep this.”

“What’s the price?”She glances at the realtor and then at me.

I march toward them and lean.“We agreed.Price doesn’t matter.I’m buying this as an investment property,” I mumble, ensuring our friendly realtor doesn’t hear that part.If he does, he’ll whisk us away to Park Avenue, showcasing the most exorbitant penthouse available.

Her eyebrows knit.“You’re going to let me pay for the rent, right?”

I nod.“We agreed on that. We’re helping each other, baby.”

“Okay then.Let’s get this one,” she says.“I think this is the perfect place.”

I kiss the tip of her nose.“Why don’t you guys go to the hotel?Mr.Martin and I will be going to my lawyer’s office to discuss the details of the contract.”

ChapterThirty-Two

Greyson

After we leave the apartment,we head toward the hotel suite.

When I close the door, she immediately says, “That place is expensive. We should’ve—”

“Stop,” I say.“It’s close to the school, and you’ll be just across the street fromthe park.”

She nibbles her bottom lip, and I can’t help but draw her close to me.I love it when she’s shying away.I weave my fingers through her hair, tilting her head to the side. Our eyes lock and for a moment, we stare at each other. Then I close the gap and seal our lips in a desperate kiss.

This kiss.

It’s an unrestrained tempest, a breathless dance where our breaths mingle and blur, till I’m unsure where I end, and she begins. Her taste is otherworldly, a sweet surrender that borders on divinity. As my lips move with hers, I find myself lost in a vibrant haze of desire, every thread of my being attuned to her. We’re on a stage, I play the music and she dances to its rhythm.A performance of lust and love.

Her tongue moves in graceful arcs against mine. It’s an exquisite turn of my ballerina mid-leap, elegant and tantalizing. With a firm hand, I pull her closer, closing the slivers of space that dared to exist between us.

I deepen our kiss, and it’s as though a spark ignites in the space we occupy, a combustible reaction to our raw passion. The warmth we conjure isn’t mere body heat. It’s a blaze that could defy any harsh winter storm in Antarctica, a heat so potent it could melt the entire planet.

Our kiss is an intoxicating melody of desire, each movement of our lips a verse of love, each hitched breath a chorus of longing. We are lost in this symphony of love.

It’s taking me a lot of willpower to hold back.

I’m caught in the whirlwind of desire, a primal urge gnawing at me to pull her close, to lay her down, to claim her completely. Her soft moans send ripples of ecstasy cascading through me, the heat in my veins intensifying with every tantalizing brush of her tongue.

“God, I love you so much,” I rasp against her mouth, my breath ragged, my heart pounding in my chest.“This ...this wasn’t what I had in mind when San suggested we head back to the hotel.”

“We—we shouldn’t ...”I stammer. The words feel hollow, because I really want this to happen with all my heart.

The unspoken confession hangs between us, the truth I crave to voice:I yearn to be with you.Inside you.To touch not only your body but also your soul as we make love.

I swallow hard. This isn’t easy.I know she’s a virgin, and this moment would be a gift to me, but also ...do I deserve it?

“We ...we need to stop,” I choke out, aware it’s the right call.

She looks up at me, those deep eyes shining with an innocence that makes my resolve waver.“Okay,” she answers, her voice barely above a whisper, hurt lurking in the depth of her dark eyes as she lets me go.
