Ryan is now the mayor.
We had Borge jumped around and cried so much when the results were announced that his eyes were so puffy on tv when he had to give his acceptance speech. He didn’t mind one bit. He didn’t even wear. Tie, good because he hated those things.
The town now had their first openly gay mayor. Progressive Karen can suck my nonexistent dick.
Ryan is so happy, we all are this is such a huge moment for him and we are celebrating it to the fullest. After all the official activities had been concluded and Luca had officially handed the reins to Him, he drove all of us back to the office for the surprise party I had planned. It would’ve been really awkward exposing the bottles of Chardonnay if he had lost so thank God.
He’s on his third drink now and I know he’s tipsy when he gets on a table and announces that he has a speech.
“I want to thank everyone for being here today. I want to thank you all for making it his office a great place to come to everyday for the last three years, you’re the reason I’m standing here today. I want to thank Luca, Mr Silvestri, for everything he’s done for me. Everything I know I learnt from you, including how to roll up my sleeves in a really cool and sexy way.” We all laugh at that and Luca bends to whisper in my ear.
“Does everyone talk about this?”
I smile and whisper back.
“You have no idea.”
“And last but definitely not least. I want to thank you, Evelyn Grey, you are a gift. I thank Hod everyday that we met and even though I was a bitch to you those first few days, I’m glad we are where we are today.”
I smile and blow him a kiss and everyone clinksbtheir glass together.
Ryan makes his way tl me.
“Hey, how awkward would it have been if I had t won?” He says and I laugh.
“I was literally just thinking that now. Dude, how in sync are we? SnywYs, I would’ve turned the whole thing into a literal pity party. We would have drowned all our sorrows in expensive bottles of wine and champagne.”
“But This is way cooler” he says an I agree.
The rest of the party goes smoothly and I have to cook an Uber to get Ryan home, yikes, I hope we haven’t all just made a huge mistake.

Lucsand k spend the next few weeks preparing for his campaign, it’s a roller coaster between transferring his mayoral duties to Ryan and campaigning. We barely have anytime just to ourselves. I do spend a lot of time with the kids however , we make lemonade and k feel blessed when LJ offers to teach me the secret recipe. Turns out it’s just lots of sugar but it’s still awesome.
It was on one of those evenings that the most unexpected thing happens. Mere sitting in Bianca’s room paining pictures on the floor when she pops the question.
“Are you going to be our new mom?” I’m shocked frozen for a few seconds then I turn to look at her, she has the most casual expression, like she just asked me if it’s going to rain.
“Would you like me to be?” I ask and LJ leaps up.
“Yes, please be our new mom Evie.”
He says and I feel that tug on my heartstrings again.
“What about you Bianca? How would you feel about that?” I ask and she shrugs
“It’ll be alright I guess. You can maybe come to my school sometimes too”
“I would love to come to your school whenever sweetie. I love you so much. But your daddy kinda has to ask me first.”
I say and she nods.
“Yeah I know, he said he’s getting to that.”
