I’m beginning to doubt my ability to wait until she’s finished working for North Management to put my hands on her.

It has to be said that emailing your boss is hot foreplay.
By the time I slip into the conference room at 2:42 p.m., I’m ready to get up on that boardroom table and beg Owen to do what he’s good at.
He’s already waiting for me and locks the door after I join him.
“For the record,” he says, moving closer to me, backing me up against the table, but stopping short of bringing his body against mine. “I want to kiss you.” His eyes drop to my throat. “But I can’t do that while you work for me.”
I didn’t expect that, but it has to be said that I respect it.
“You have a no-fraternization policy that restricts relationships?”
“Between managers and their direct reports, yes. So, technically I could have a relationship with you. However, Jill and I now have our own agreement and I can’t go there with you.”
“The more I get to know you, Owen, the more I find to like.” He could easily kiss me right now. I’ve got just over two hours left at North Management. No one would ever know he touched me, and yet, he’s honoring his agreement with his ex.
His eyes roam my face. “Are you free for dinner tonight?”
“Yes.”
He pulls his phone out of his pocket and hands it to me. “I need your number.”
I smile, remembering what Seth said last night. “Seth was right about you.” I take his phone and key my number in.
“How?” he asks, taking his phone when I pass it back.
“He said you wouldn’t abuse your role in the company to get my number. I thought you would. I mean, you had that kind of look in your eyes yesterday when you were trying to boss me around.”
He sends me a text so that I have his number. “Don’t be so sure you were wrong.”
And suddenly, I really want to kiss him.
