“Thanks. He’s in the gym.”

“Oh, okay. Is that close by?”

“Yes, it’s our gym.”

I frown. “Owen owns a gym?”

She laughs. “No, it’s the company gym. It’s down on the next floor.”

Oh, God, of course the company has a gym. This place is filled with people that have more muscles than I’ve ever seen.

“Right. Got you. I’ll head down there now.”

I make my way down to the next floor and locate the gym. Owen is the only person in there. Well, besides the guy who’s training him, but I barely see that guy because all I see is Owen.

Holy God, I need to acquaint myself with the gym if this is what’s to be found in it.

Owen’s wearing black shorts and a black tee and is currently lying on a machine with his legs up pushing a metal plate that lifts what looks to be a lot of weights.

All his muscles are flexing.

His leg muscles.

His arm muscles.

His face muscles.

I move closer while my brain tries to figure out how I can persuade him to let me work in here whenever he trains.

His trainer spots me before Owen does. “Hi.”

“Hi.” I point at Owen. “I just need him for a minute.”

Owen looks at me. Sadly, his muscles stop working, and he pulls himself up off the machine. Reaching for a towel, he wipes his face and comes my way.

“What’s up?”

What’s up?

Everything.

All the things.

Nothing is not up right now.

I feel like I’ve been presented with something that I never knew existed, and now, my entire world has been tilted.

I’m coming back as a gym bunny in my next life.

My eyes drop to his chest, and I throw out, “This shirt needs to be removed from your wardrobe for the next two weeks.”

Heat flares in his eyes. “Do you intend on spending time in here during the next two weeks?”

I’ve told Owen that I don’t care for the gym. I like that he remembers the things I tell him.

“I intend on joining a gym now that I’ve seen what happens in them.”

“I have one at my place. You’re welcome to join me there at any time.”
