“He isn’t answering.”

“Move kid,” a firm voice said, before my bedroom door flew off its hinges and crashed against the far wall. Shooting up from my bed, gun in my hand, I pointed it at the intruder. “GET. THE. FUCK. OUT!”

“Jesus Christ,” Snoopy cursed, walking in with Mercy as I glared at Malice, who stood unmoving.

Motherfucker was going to fix that fucking door if it was the last thing he did.

“Put that fucking gun away,” Snoopy said, throwing clothes at me. “Get dressed. Petrovitch has made his next move.”

“So, take care of it.” I sneered.

Mercy narrowed his eyes and smiled. “Malice, he’s all yours.”

Before I could move, Malice had me in a headlock as Payne walked into my room and punched me in the face. Next, Malice handcuffed me to my own fucking shower as cold water washed over me.

“I’m going to fucking gut all of you!” I roared, trying to get out from under the cold spray.

“He’s clean enough,” Snoopy growled. “Get him dressed and downstairs. Everyone is waiting.”

“What the fuck is going on?!”

“Petrovitch has my daughter, you son of a bitch. He sent me a video. ME!” Snoopy roared before walking away. If I wasn’t already cold from the water, hearing the bomb Snoopy just dropped would have chilled me to the bone.

There was no fucking way that sadistic motherfucker had her.

She was safe.

“Better hurry, Montana,” Malice said, uncuffing me. “He isn’t lying. Your dad called in everyone. They started arriving an hour ago.”

“She’s at the apartment. This has to be a mistake.”

“It’s not,” Malice whispered, throwing me a towel. “Get dressed.”

Heading for my dresser, I grabbed a clean pair of jeans and a black t-shirt, quickly putting them on. Heading for my nightstand, I turned on my phone that I shut off three days ago. The same day, I saw Tessa in the cab. Seeing her sitting there decimated me. I wanted so much to grab her and make her see reason. Instead, I rode off and never looked back. She made her choice. I was just abiding by it. That’s when I shut off my phone. I didn’t want to speak to anyone.

As my phone powered up, I sat down and reached for my boots. Putting them on, my phone started alerting me to missed text, calls and voicemails. Picking my phone up, I saw Tessa had been trying to get ahold of me for three days. Opening the last text, she sent.

Sunday, June 4th@ 3:16 am:I’m sorry. Please forgive me.

Pocketing my phone, I got to my feet and headed for the rec room where I found my club brothers, branded and patched brothers, Mafia and Bratva men all gearing up for war. Fury was instructing the patched brothers while Vicious stood angrily talking on his phone. “I don’t give a fuck, Sypher. Find her!”

“Son,” my dad said behind me.

“I want to see the video.”

“No, you don’t,” he replied. “Storm, Shame and Pippen are monitoring the situation. You need to sit with Renaldo and Maxim and come up with a plan.”

“I want to see the fucking video,” I growled, as brothers, mafia and Bratva brothers all worked together, talking, planning getting everything they needed for what was about to come.

“Son,” my dad carefully said, as I rounded on him and shouted for all to hear. “NOW DAD!”

My dad nodded solemnly as the room quieted.

“Shame is monitoring the live feed in his office.”

Running for Shame’s office, I pushed my way past men, needing to see my worst fear. When I walked away from Tessa that day at the hospital, I’d done everything I could think of to ensure her safety. Called in markers, made deals, even threatened everyone that no harm would befall Tess upon the pain of death. I meant it too. She may want nothing to do with me anymore, but that didn’t mean I stopped loving her. She was the mother of my son. The one woman on the planet who could bring me to my knees. If anything happened to her…no, I refused to think that. I couldn’t.

Walking into Shame’s office, I found him sitting stiffly in front of his computers, Snoopy beside him, head hanging low as his body shook. Neither turned to face me. Shame’s eyes glued to the horror that was before him.
