Maybe I was looking for trouble.

Or just looking for a beer.

Looking for a way to drink away Anna. Again.

When I walked into the bar, I put my head down and found a corner spot at the bar with a view of the television.

It took a few seconds before a few people recognized me.

No comments though.

The bartender was a young woman wearing a baseball cap on backwards.

“What are you drinking, sugar?”

“Pick a beer,” I said. “Keep them coming.”

“You got it.”

I put a fifty on the bar.

When she returned with the beer, she took the money.

“When half of that is spent, you tell me,” I said. “The other half is yours.”

Her face lit up. “You don’t have to do that.”

“I know.”

I moved my eyes to the television screen.

I felt the bartender staring at me. Smiling.

Cute as hell eyes. A little button nose.

Looking sexy too with that baseball cap backwards.

A lot-cut tank top.

Bright bra underneath, chosen on purpose to show off the colors and attract more eyes to her chest.

Now there’s a logical plan.

Drink beer. Flirt with this cute bartender.

Then take her home.

She already thought it herself.

That’s how you rid this sense of stinging… loss…

Two minutes into the hockey game and Jago gave up a really bad goal.

He was pissed at himself.

He should be pissed at himself.

My first beer still had a few sips left but the bartender already had the second one ready for me.
