"I'm going to come," Ice panted. "I'm going to spill myself into you. I can't wait to spend the rest of the night knowing you're going to feel me between your legs the entire time."

I moaned his name. "I want that," I whispered. "I want you to come inside me."

He promised not to hurt me. This was an extension of that promise. I had no idea if whatever they were going to tell me would make me understand why they did what they did, why they killed someone, but I had this. If they killed me once I told them what I saw, then at least I had this.

Ice grunted and fell still as he came. He made a series of unintelligible sounds that might or might not have been words, then he sagged.

"You are incredible," he whispered. "Just incredible." He stood like that for a minute or two, then slid out of me and tugged my dress back into place.

"How do you feel?"

I pushed myself up off the chest of drawers and stood up straight. "Warm, wet and sticky." I would have liked a shower, but there was no time for that. He'd definitely get his wish. My thighs were quickly smeared with his pearly cum.

He grinned. "Perfect." He patted some of my hair back into place and then offered me his arm. "We should go and watch your mother get married."

Still somewhat wary, I took his arm.

Ares was tucking his cock back into his pants. He disappeared into my bathroom long enough to wash his hands. Shame. He should have left cum on his fingers. Why should I be the only sticky one?

"Liked what you saw?" Ice asked him. "Maybe you should join in next time."

Ares grunted and yanked the door open before stepping out ahead of us.

Ice glanced at me and shrugged. "I guess there wasn't much time." His easy smile tugged at the corners of his mouth.

"I guess not," I said. I hoped this wedding would be over quickly because I needed some answers. Nothing in my life was making sense right now, and it was threatening to drive me crazy.

I'd just knowingly fucked a killer. What did that make me?

The worst part about it was that I'd do it again. Not just with him, but with Mannix as well. And Ares. This whole thing was at least several thousand times fucked up.

"I don't regret what we just did." Ice led me down the stairs and toward the door that led out to the pool.

The sun was starting to set. The whole scene was beautiful. Flowers decorated the space, looking gorgeous and smelling fragrant.

"You shouldn't either," he added.

"That's easy for you to say." Dryness crept into my tone. "You know what's going on."

"If you think about it long enough, you'll realise you do too," he said. "But all of this will be figured out soon enough. When it is, you won't have any regrets or doubts.”

"You make it sound so simple."

"It really is simple, but we should stop talking about it now." He looked meaningfully towards some staff as they bustled around the kitchen, finalising a few details.

I wanted to insist we keep talking about it. Did these people have a clue who they were working for? If they had known, they might have run away screaming. On the other hand, would the guys let them leave? Specifically, would they let them leave alive?

I pressed my lips together when I saw Leo in his tuxedo, Mannix right behind him. They wore matching, unreadable expressions.

Chapter Seven

Kennedy

"Do I look all right?" Mum peered into the mirror. She frowned at her reflection, this way and that. She bared her teeth to check for lipstick. There was none there, but she ran her tongue over them anyway.

"You look stunning," I said honestly.

Simple, elegant, ivory silk brushed the top of her heels. Her hair hung past her shoulders in curls that somehow held their shape after all my work putting them in. That was a miracle in itself. Or an entire bottle of hairspray.
