Hunter stands in the doorway, his tall, muscular frame filling the space.

His dark eyes are cold and calculating as they settle on me.

A shiver runs down my spine, fear gripping me as I realize the implications of having a child with this man.

"Is everything alright?" Hunter asks, his voice is deceptively calm.

"Mr. Drucci, I need to speak with you privately," the doctor replies, glancing nervously at me.

"Anything you have to say can be said in front of Rosalie," Hunter snaps, his patience thin.

"Very well." The doctor hesitates for a moment before revealing the truth.

"Congratulations. Rosalie is pregnant, Mr. Drucci."

Hunter's face turns a dangerous shade of red, and I shrink back, knowing what's coming next.

"Get out," he tells the doctor. The doctor runs from the room, closing the door behind him.

Hunter strides towards me, his fists clenched, and I can see the fury simmering beneath the surface.

"You traitorous bitch," he growls, the menace in his voice making me tremble.

"Whose baby is it?"

"Please, Hunter. I... I don't know," I say.

I can't tell him the baby belongs to another mafia Don.

Hunter would have the child killed.

Hunter reaches out with a fist and punches me across my face.

I cry and fall back. "Please," I say, resisting the urge to fight back, for I know I'm outnumbered, and he can call for backup at any point.

"I don't want to put the baby in danger," I plead, tears streaming down my cheeks.

But my pleas fall on deaf ears.

"From now on," he says, his voice dark and threatening, "you'll learn that everything you do affects you and your unborn child. I control every aspect of your life, Rosalie, and don't you ever forget it."

As Hunter leaves the room, his rage barely contained, I curl up on the examination bed, my body wracked with sobs.

I know that my life will never be the same, and fear for my child's future consumes me.

But there's no escape, and all I can do is endure the consequences of being bound to a man as cruel and dangerous as Hunter Drucci.

That night, I hear the door unlock and Hunter walks in.

I can barely breathe as I watch Hunter's face contort with rage, his eyes narrowing dangerously.

The air in the room feels heavy, suffocating me as I try to brace myself for what's about to come.

"Did you really think you could keep this from me?" he seethes, his voice low and menacing.

I shiver, knowing that my silence has only made matters worse.

"Please, Hunter," I beg, my voice trembling with fear, "I didn't want anything to happen to the baby."
