“Is that so? You better show me then.”

I’m happy to oblige. Crawling onto my knees, I tip Thelma back, kissing her as I strip off her shoes, yoga pants, and panties. Thelma moans as I kiss my way down her body, my hands spreading her thighs as my tongue traces her folds, dipping into her and moving to circle her clit.

“Okay, that will definitely take my mind off things,” Thelma gasps, her fingers sliding through my hair, her hips pressing her clit against my mouth.

I take the hint, closing my lips around it and sucking as I spear two fingers into her, finger fucking her roughly. Thelma bucks her hips, moaning and mewling as she comes apart satisfyingly quickly on my mouth.

Kissing my way up, I latch my mouth onto the pulse point at her neck, swirling my tongue as I shove down my shorts and plunge into her.

“Yes, Jimmy. Like that.”

Spurred on by Thelma’s breathy words, I pump into her, gripping her ass, my fingers kneading the soft flesh. It’s been a week, and I love the hell out of bareback sex with Thelma.

“Come again for me, babe,” I murmur against her neck. With a breathy sigh, she does, her body spasming and her hands tightening in my hair. Her pussy is so tight on my dick that I only last a few more pumps, collapsing on top of her as I pepper her neck and face with kisses.

“Life is back to normal,” Thelma sighs happily, her arms tight around my neck.

“Yeah, it is.” It’s better than normal. It’s our new normal. I only need one more thing to make it perfect.

“I love you, Jimmy,” Thelma sighs, brushing a soft kiss over my cheek. My heart thumps as I smile down at her. Fuck yeah, she does.

“I love you too, Thelma.” Pressing another kiss to her lips, I withdraw, helping her up and watching her dress as I grab the boxing gloves.

Okay. SonowI only need one more thing to make things perfect.

THELMA

Yawning, I open my eyes, staring at the low, white ceiling. Beside me, Jimmy is still fast asleep, on his stomach, his face turned away from me. I take a moment to trail my eyes over the deliciously defined muscles of his back, my gaze moving to the window in front of the bed.

This is the first time we have stayed at Jimmy’s Pioneer Square condo. He says he prefers my place. I smile as my eyes land on the water. I like that he has a view of the water too. It makes me feel connected to him on another level.

We ate dinner on his deck last night. Looking out over the water. He’s closer here than I am, and you could smell the salty tang of the water on the cold breeze. Thankfully, he has a gas heater out there.

Sliding out of bed, I snag Jimmy’s T-shirt from last night, lying on the floor, and tug it over my head. He is still sleeping peacefully when I emerge from the bathroom, and I don’t want to wake him, so I tiptoe out of the room, making my way downstairs.

The bright, white airiness disappears as I leave the rooftop level, descending into the exposed brick and heavy wooden ceiling beams of the main living space. There is a small mezzanine level where Jimmy has a home office looking down over his open-plan kitchen and living room, but I don’t stop there.

Continuing down the industrial steel stairs, I walk into the loft-style kitchen, setting the coffee machine before moving into the living room to stoke the artsy fireplace.

“Now that’s a sight I could get used to.”

I jump as Jimmy’s rough, rumbly morning voice washes over me. Turning, I smile at him, where he is standing on the mezzanine level, looking down at me, his hands braced on the metal railing.

“Come on down and enjoy it then,” I taunt, making sure to put an exaggerated sway in my walk as I cross back to the kitchen. Jimmy grins, straightening and moving away from the railing.

“I’m not about to turn down that offer.”

Giggling, I pour two coffees, holding one out as he rounds the wall near the kitchen, dropping a kiss on my upturned face as he takes the mug.

“What’s for breakfast?”

Jimmy shrugs, crossing to his fridge and opening it. “I know you’re a smoothie in the morning kind of woman, but how about eggs?”

“Uh, if you’re cooking, I could eat some eggs.”

Chuckling, Jimmy sets his coffee mug on the countertop, pulling a carton of eggs and a packet of bacon from the fridge. He drops the bacon near the stove, handing me the egg carton.

“I have three. Did you want to scramble them?”
