"You're in no position to throw insults around, cousin." Antonio sneered at him.
"You think this cell will stop me?" Allegro laughed maniacally. More blood spewed from his mouth onto the table. "You're going down, Antonio, and soon you'll be nothing more than a tragic page in the Cavalori empire's history."
"Tell us what part Annaleise and the Omega Syndicate played in all this?" Antonio didn't acknowledge his outburst, instead focusing on the questions we needed answers to.
"The Omega Syndicate?" Allegro threw his head back and laughed. "Did you think they would have anything to do with that crazy bitch? She was exiled from them years ago."
The color drained from my cheeks as I locked eyes with each of my mates. What would that mean for me if Annaleise wasn't with the Syndicate?
"Explain yourself," Antonio demanded.
"We thought it would give us a good laugh if we brought your little omega into all of this under the guise of the Syndicate." Allegro's obsidian eyes glimmered with malice. "Truth is they don't give two shits about you or your bitch. As long as you keep laundering their money, they barely know you exist."
My jaw dropped at his confession. The Syndicate didn't even know about any of this?
Allegro didn't know it, but he signed his own death certificate with his words. If the guys didn't have to worry about pissing off the Syndicate, they were free to kill both of them.
"You fucking idiot!" Annaleise screamed. Her cuffs rattled against the metal table as she frantically tried to free herself.
"Shut up, you crazy bitch."
Antonio cleared his throat. "I hate to interrupt your lover's quarrel, but can we get back to the topic at hand."
Allegro's brows rose. "Which is?"
"What your end goal was."
"Shut up, and don't tell him anything."
"I told you to keep your mouth shut, you cunt." Allegro growled at Annaleise.
I bit down on my bottom lip to keep from laughing. The situation turned comical. "Does anyone else think this is hilarious?"
Luca grinned as he glanced over at me. "Fucking hysterical."
"Tony, this is boring me. Could we get on with killing them?" Miko's azure eyes glimmered as he glanced from Annaleise to Allegro. "You know I've been dying to gut that bitch like a fish."
"There's no reason to keep them alive if they weren't working with the Syndicate."
The guys turned to face me with surprise transforming their faces.
"What?" I asked, throwing my hands up. "It's true. If Annaleise is an exile, they won't care if she's killed. They’d probably be happy she's gone after impersonating one of them."
"And this sack of shit." Miko kicked Allegro's chair. "Is nothing more than a coked-up twat who can't plan a coup."
Antonio nodded. "Do it. I'd much rather be at home with my omega in my arms than deal with this shit any longer than I have to."
Miko clapped his hands, looking like the cat who ate the canary. He licked his lips as he pulled twin daggers from inside his jacket. "I've been waiting for this for months."
Antonio pointed to Luca. "Take care of him."
"Gladly." Luca's expression transformed into a mirror image of Miko's.
Cormac pulled me closer to his side and bent low. "Do you want to watch this? Or I can take you back to the car."
I contemplated his question for a moment before I looked up at him and nodded. "Take me to the car, please."
He cupped my cheek and softly kissed me. "Anything for you, baby girl."
