“You can head out if you want,” he says.

“But there’s still more to sort,” I say, pointing to a bottle currently rolling in and out with the tide.

Standing, I wipe my hands on my pants and head toward the beach. I step down the large patio stairs of the facility’s patio and walk onto the beach. A few steps in, I look back to notice Milo following me with a trash bag. I smile at his helpful nature.

Coming up to the bottle, I notice it’s an old glass Coca-Cola bottle.

“Wow, this one’s different. Definitely old.”

“Let me see?” Milo asks, coming to my side.

“It has something in it.”

He seems to understand my excitement and matches it with a grin before he wraps the old cap in his worn T-shirt and opens it.

“Sure does. Looks like a note.”

“Oh my goodness! Oh my goodness!”

“Excited there, Cherub?” He says it with a laugh, but the use of a nickname isn’t lost on me. Surely, red paints my cheeks as I just nod waiting for him to read it.

When you’re lost, look to the sea.

Let the waves wash over thee.

Under the Everglades is what you seek,

within the tangles of the tallest, oldest peak.

There you’ll find the first of three:

Of gold,

of jewels,

of heart.

Treasures untold you’re soon to set free.

Quest for something more on Angel’s sands.

Find what you desire within her hands.

Go to the tree that resembles the Majestic Three.

At the altar on bended knee, you’ll find the key.

Quiet you must be,

until the last clue found.

For those who succeed,

will have fortune all around.

“Idon’t understand. Is it a poem?” I ask, confused to what we just found.

“It’s a riddle or a treasure map,” Milo tells me, lifting his hat and scratching his head in bewilderment.
