“He won’t,” Frankie promised. “He won’t risk it all for a silly feud. He no longer has anything to gain with us. The only reason he came for us in the first place is to take over our businesses, titles and holdings. He stands to gain none of that now, even if we die, and he’s not stupid enough to try.”

I wasn’t sure about that, but Frankie had a point. The Commission had squashed his entire goal, and he would gain nothing by coming after us now. It was finally over, and we could finally have some peace of mind knowing we didn’t have a powerful mob boss on our asses.

“He only has one male heir left, and if they fuck around, they could lose their title altogether,” Louis pointed out. I stared at Frankie, noting how his eyes held no emotions, despite what Louis had just mentioned. Bella had been an heir to her father’s empire, but she’d been killed right alongside her brother, leaving only one Lucchese remaining. It was yet another reason Virgil couldn’t risk attacking us.

The door to the office opened, and Sierra hesitantly strode inside, looking between me and all my brothers. She smiled at me, and I veered my eyes to where Louis stood, gesturing to his chair beside mine. “I was about to get up. You can have my seat.” She shook her head and waved him off, but I stared at my brother, shocked by the offer. He had never been nice to anyone, but he looked at Sierra with a respect I’d never expected to see in his eyes. He trusted nobody, but somehow she had wound her way into his heart. She’d wound her way into all our hearts, it seemed.

“I’m not staying. I was hoping to see Carlo when you were all done,” she said, biting her lip and looking at Frankie for approval.

Frankie didn’t even spare her a glance as he waved a dismissive hand. “We’re done here.”

I stood and approached the door where she hovered, and the cunning grin told me all I needed to know about her intentions. But for her to pull me out of a meeting; I wondered what she had in mind. The moment I sealed the door closed and turned fully to her, the shit-eating grin spread. “I have a surprise for you,” she said, taking two steps back before turning and sprinting away. I stared after her until she shouted over her shoulder, “Only if you can catch me, though!”

She had a substantial head start, and I exhaled a deep sigh through my nose as I took off toward her. Her pattering feet on the floor were my only guide as I chased after her, gaining a few inches with every few strides forward. I had no idea where she was going as she rushed down the upstairs hallway and turned into the game room.

I made it inside just in time to see her pulling herself through the second-story window and smirking at me as she leaped through the air. “What the hell!” I shouted, lunging toward the window and looking toward where she’d jumped. The woman had to be fearless. She’d jumped from the window’s ledge to another small landing a few feet away. It was attached to the building, but I’d never been out the second-story window, so I proceeded cautiously. I couldn’t let her stand out here alone when it could be dangerous, but…what the hell was she thinking? “Sierra!” I shouted after her.

“Up here,” she said in a teasing tone. I continued on the landing until a small ladder caught my attention. If I fell off this ladder and down two stories, I would be the dumbest motherfucker alive, but I couldn’t leave her alone. I climbed the ladder and gaped at the rooftop setup. I had no idea which of my brothers knew about this place, but there was a reclining lawn chair and an outdoor table with an old glass sitting on it.

But that wasn’t what caught my attention. Sierra lay on the lawn chair, one knee bent upward and the other leg extended completely. She wasn’t wearing the same T-shirt as before. She’d taken it off and tossed it aside. Now she wore a lacy bra with straps that extended all the way down her flat stomach and beneath her shorts. If the sinful underthing she wore to cover her tits matched what covered the rest of her, I would be indeepshit.

“Hunter has a rooftop patio like this one, and I saw the landing, so I had to check it out,” she said with a shrug and a sinfully taunting smile. “And when I found it, I remembered something you told me a while ago.”

I cleared my throat. How did a woman who looked likethatwant anything to do with me? “And what would that be?” I asked.

“You told me that you wanted to fuck me for the world to see, so I thought this would be a good compromise.”

My eyes trailed down the strappy lace garment again. The ledge around the rooftop made it impossible for anyone to see us from up here, but wewereexposed. I strode toward her and met her cunningly amused eyes. I leaned over the reclining chair and smirked down at her. “This is why you pulled me out of my meeting?” I clarified with a deep chuckle.

“If you don’t think it’s worth it…” she teased, pushing up on her elbows as if to leave.

“I didn’t say that,” I said defensively, placing a hand on her shoulder and pushing her back down. “Shit, if I ever say I’m not interested in this, you should shoot me where I stand.”

She tipped her head back and laughed, but I captured the sound with my lips, wrapping a hand around the back of her neck and pulling her closer. She inhaled a sharp breath, but I took that sound, too. I took everything she offered and drew it all as far into myself as possible. She had no idea how hard I had fallen for her.

“Are you planning on showing me what’s under those shorts?” I asked, tugging at the hem.

“I don’t think you’ll be able to control yourself if you see.”

“Good.” I tugged down the bottoms. I blinked. That was all I could do as I eyed the straps that surrounded her hips and dipped down. They didn’t enclose her fully, leaving a circular opening between her thighs that would give me all the access I needed. “Fuck, Sierra,” I whispered, shaking my head frantically as I lifted her into my arms and deepened the kiss. She squeaked as she unbuttoned my pants and pushed them far enough down my hips that I could kick my feet out of them. Then, she ran her hands beneath my shirt, pushing it up and exposing my chest. For once, I didn’t react to her seeing the brand there. I only tipped my head back and groaned as her fingers trailed down the tightly wound muscles of my abdomen.

“I’ve been thinking about doing this since I found this place,” she admitted, leaning deeper into me and moving her lips up my throat. I leaned back into the chair and allowed her to sit atop me. She straddled and ground into me, releasing a soft moan that had my hands tightening around her hips. “I want to be in charge today,” she admitted, pressing back my chest. My brows shot up as I followed her lead and laid back. The sun behind her gave a shadowed, ominous glow to her as she placed both hands on her chest and ground into my hard cock. With each motion, sweet moans fled from her lips, and I shuddered beneath them, excitedly waiting for more.

She kept going, teasing me in a way that had me ready to beg for her to capture me with that tight pussy. She nearly had me climaxing before she dipped her hips just in the right way to take me into her. She came down on me in a way that had my head spinning, and when she cried out, I pushed up and grabbed the back of her head, drawing her lips back to mine in a kiss that burned through every part of me.

She rocked her hips, and I fell deeper into that place of need and yearning that I knew I’d only ever have with Sierra. “I fucking love you,” I growled against her lips as she went back and forth fervently.

She smiled and gripped the sides of the patio chair as she moaned loudly and shook around me, tightening her pussy in a way that had me barreling to a finish right alongside her. She curled her legs around me as she fell forward, placing both hands on my chest and resting her head atop them. She breathed quickly, laughing under her breath. “I’m surprised you let me do it my way,” she admitted, leaning a cheek into my chest as she relaxed against me.

“I’d do anything for you,” I told her, wrapping both arms around the small of her back. “Especially when you wear something like that.” She slapped my chest as a laugh boomed from me. The muted sounds of the city brought a familiar calm racing through me, and I didn’t doubt for even a moment that this was the place where I most belonged—in this house, with Sierra atop me.

“I love you, too,” she whispered against my chest.

EPILOGUE

SIERRA RICARDO

The room started relatively empty. Carlo and I were the only ones in here when I woke up this morning, and Carlo sat at my side as he’d been doing for the last forty-eight hours. He hadn’t released my hand for more than a few minutes, and I wondered if he’d slept at all. Every time I awoke, he was staring at me, the glass bassinet on the other side of the bed, or the small bundle he held in his arms.
