She snorted, and he pushed her bodysuit past her hips. She sat on the edge of the bed, and he pulled the rest of her suit off.

He knelt at her feet, and his bright blue eyes gleamed. “You are stunning. May I join you?”

“In bed or naked?”

He grinned. “Yes.”

She scooted back and folded back the bedding while he got undressed. She was pretty sure that she wanted him. She had literally made room for him. Ondine sat and watched him efficiently unbutton his cuffs and the rest of his shirt. He hung up the shirt and toed off his shoes before removing his socks.

He walked toward the bed, and the hard ridges of his abs and chest were prominent.

She snickered. “Are you flexing?”

He laughed. “A little.” He unfastened his belt and his trousers.

She held her breath for the push down to nudity, but... ”Boxers?”

He chuckled. “Boxer briefs. Not everyone runs around in bodysuits all day. They make underwear, you know.”

She blushed. “Oh, yeah. Amadine keeps reminding me. Suits are just easy. As long as you can find your feet, you can get dressed.”

He stepped out of his trousers, and she took in the tight fabric distended by his erection.

He laughed. “Why are you tilting your head?”

“Um, so you can flex all of you?” Her body was shaking, and she could smell heat in the air. It was mainly coming from her.

He laughed and crawled onto the bed, getting her to lean back. “I am just going to leave these on. You look a little hungry, Ondine.”

She looked up at him and whispered, “You think I am going to bite?”

“I plan on it, so why wouldn’t you?” His smile was slow.

Ondine’s eyes crossed as he kissed her, and then she draped her arms around his neck and returned the kiss. It wasn’t often that she had a night without Amadine nearby.

She may as well embrace it.

Chapter Twelve

The kiss was nice. It was warm, it was slow, and she kept leaning in for more. Geero slowly lowered himself on top of her, and with a gesture, Ondine dimmed the light.

He smiled. “Leave the light on as much as you are comfortable with.”

She flexed her fingers, and the light turned up, so she could clearly make out his features and the clearly defined curve of his lips. “How is that?”

He brushed his cheek against hers. “Perfect.”

Ondine swallowed and then breathed him in. Each bit of nervousness faded as she took him in.

“What if I am not good at this?”

He smiled. “Then it is my pleasure to help you practice. I do know what the end game is here, and I am willing to spend all night showing you the path.”

“What if we aren’t good together?”

He blinked. “If that is the result and you want someone else, I will help you find it. Or if you simply need a companion, I can help there, too.”

She looked between them and felt the slickness inside her that was seeping out. “What if I change my mind?”
