Yet, I can’t manually drag myself out to be vulnerable again when I didn’t realize I had done it before in the first place.
Tossing a socket over my shoulder in frustration, I’m already over working on my car. The girls are at school and I should be balls deep in the woman who came back to me but instead I’m hiding from her.
More like contemplating and mellowing out.
I’ve been grateful at how attentive she’s been with Lark and Bria since being back. She’s taking up most of her time with them which tires her out by the end of the night so that Molly is fast asleep before I even get out of the shower.
The baby has been kicking her ass and sucking all the energy out of her and I can’t say that I mind right now. It gives me the opportunity to watch her while she’s curled up in my bed and feel relieved that I’m not wondering where she is or if she’s ever coming back.
But this abandonment bullshit fucked me up more than I thought it had or would. I believed that, once I got her back home, that’d be it. Obviously, though, it’s so much deeper than that. I thought I had been past all Olivia’s bullshit, but she left me with issues that are now seeping into my relationship with Molly and it’s pissing me off.
Big time.
“You keep looking at your engine like that and it’s going to be too scared to ever run again.”
My focus slices up to Molly, carrying a plate with a sandwich and some chips on it. Little does she know that the car runs fine, I’m just doing extra bullshit to it that doesn’t need to be done right this second.
“Maybe it’ll teach it to stop giving me grief then,” I reply, playing along with the story of it being the reason why I’m out here.
Molly smiles, her face lightening up at my intimidation at something that’s not even alive, and that’s all I’ve seen.
Her smiling and laughing. Her falling completely back into place like she never left, but I can’t cloak the fact that she did.
And that she may do it again.
“Are you hungry?” she asks me, placing the plate along the front edge of the car. “You didn’t eat breakfast.”
No, I was too busy staring at you and thinking that I wanted you for breakfast.
“Sure, baby,” I say, not having an excuse as to why I can’t eat because it’s not as though I have half the car taken apart.
Grabbing my white rag, I begin to wipe my hands off when I see Molly moving around in my peripheral and her next words re-seize my attention with vengeance.
“Do I look bigger to you?”
My cock immediately comes to life as Molly rips off her t-shirt like it’s nothing, displaying this sinful as all hell lacy black bra. Her tits look glorious in the natural sunlight as she does a small little spin, dropping her gray sweatpants and revealing a skimpy black thong.
My fingers tighten around my rag as my breathing takes a hike somewhere to go grab some better oxygen.

Molly frowns at me before glancing down at herself. “I don’t see the baby yet, but it’s been taking over my whole body.”
“Did it tell you to lose your clothes too?”
Those sexy as hell green eyes anchor onto mine with nothing but mischief in them. I swear to God she was the girl in school who was the rebel, but everyone thought she was an angel. “No. This is me forcing you to take me.”
“Take you where?” I’m being an asshole. However, this woman has way too much power over me and I’m trying to reclaim some of it back.
Molly reaches up and closes the hood of my car with a loud thud, locking my sandwich inside—but who cares—before climbing up on top of it. “Wherever you want to take me, Kai. I’m just here for the ride of my life with you and the girls.”
I grunt dismissively, but it falls short when she spreads her thighs and runs one hand along the inside of one of them.
“Ah, there it is,” she coos. “You don’t trust me.”
“I trust you,” I retort. And I do, with most things.
