“Not like you.”

“Okay, well…you’re not a relationship kind of guy.”

“And you need one in order to have fun?”

“You’re putting words in my mouth.” And it’s then that I can’t ignore the fact that the white tee he’s wearing is just filled out by every inch of his muscles.

I’m glad I didn’t notice it before because I probably wouldn’t have stopped him.

“I’d love to put something else in your mouth but you’re fighting me off.” Kai steps closer and I step back. “You’re not the kind of girl that lives off labels. So why do we have to have them?”

“Because you can’t handle it.”

His whole face lifts, amused. “Me?”

“Yes.”

“Please tell me how I’d handle it then.”

“No labels means no rules. No obligations. Are you going to be okay with me sleeping with other men?”

“Are you sleeping with anyone right now?”

I frown. “No.”

“Then I’m not worried about it.”

No shit, Sherlock.

“And when I do?”

Kai’s hand shoots out and fists my shirt, hauling me into his chest and almost knocking out my next intake of air. “You’re not gonna want to go out with anyone else. I won’t have a problem with keeping you satisfied, Molly.”

I meet those steel-blue eyes, refusing to back down. “You didn’t answer my question.”

His fingers release my shirt and find my ass before I fight down the surprised gasp that almost left my throat. “If I need to ask you every week to double-check then yeah. But I’d be able to tell. Past relationships and all that.”

Right.

And I understand why he thinks the way he does. Why get wrapped up in someone long-term when it might break and crack? I can comprehend how he’d be leery about it, but it doesn’t mean it’s the best for me.

“I don’t want you to have to do that,” I rebuff. “You don’t deserve that.”

“Don’t worry your pretty little head about my mental health,” he says softly. “I just want you to peel these jeans off and sit on top of the counter like a good little girl. And then I’ll give you whatever you want.”

Just like that.

The offer is almost too good to pass up. I know he’ll give me at least two orgasms and take my breath away but it doesn’t stop the aftermath of what this could be.

Kai sighs, obviously catching on to my hesitation. “What do you want from me now, Molly?”

“If…we do this…it’s just us. We don’t date outside of this.”

“Done.”

“And we don’tfuckoutside of this.”

“Easy.”
