Mindy blanches scarlet as she quickly stands to her feet. “Can I use your restroom?”

I fight down my victorious smile. “Down the hallway to the right.”

She scampers off, heels clicking intentionally, and Molly shifts her weight and looks down at me.

“What are you doing?”

I don’t answer, reaching up to lace my fingers through her curly red hair and drag her lips to mine.

Molly lets me, pressing her lips gently against mine, and it immediately sparks need through my body.

“Getting rid of the blonde Myles brought over,” I finally mutter against her. “You saved me from having to embarrass her any further.”

“You’re an asshole.” But it holds no conviction behind it to nail me to a cross of any kind.

“I’m not interested,” I retort softly. “There’s only one woman around here that makes me hard as fuck so that I can—”

“Whoa, whoa, whoa,” Myles chants loudly, cutting into my mini-moment. “Is that you, Molly?”

I feel Molly sigh a bit against me, before turning her head toward my best friend. “Hey, Myles.”

“Damn, girl,” he quips with excitement. “You locked my boy down?”

“I wouldn’t say—”

“She did,” I announce for the both of us, even though we haven’t had that talk yet. “I couldn’t resist.”

Molly peers back down at me with wide eyes, clearly thrown off by my comment. But all I can do is smile.

I might not want labels, but it’s not like the media is knocking on my door and lined up on my driveway.

Speaking of…

“Keep your mouth shut, Myles,” I warn him, looking around Molly’s body. “I mean it.”

He raises both of his palms. “You got it, man. Lips are sealed.”

I flick my focus over to the blonde under his arm and she is quick to bob her head. “Oh, yeah, of course.”

“Good,” I deadpan. “Then you won’t mind signing an NDA before you leave.”

Myles scoffs with a look of exasperation. “Oh, c’mon, Kai.”

No, there’s no c’mon, Kai. I’m not taking any chances of my life being flipped on its ass because some chick wants to sell my story for a quick buck. What Molly and I have, I wish to keep untainted from the world.

“That or I sue the shit out of her for every pair of shoes she owns for runnin’ her mouth.”

The blonde cowers a bit into Myles’s frame. “That’s unnecessary. I can sign whatever you need.”

“Kai,” Molly utters under her breath. “Quit being a dick.”

“I don’t care,” I argue back. “These people are fuckin’ leeches that will do anything to make an extra buck. And I’m not about to get harassed about my lifestyle when—” Her index finger falls to my lips, shutting me the hell up.

“Relax. They’ll sign what you want and then, if they break it, you can go steal all their Target shoes.”

I bristle underneath her. A glower forms on my face because I’m serious. When Olivia and I started dating, it was madness. Mind you, I was more popular then, but it’s not like I’ve totally fallen off the radar these days. There’s still always a story somewhere if someone catches wind of it.

“Now”—Molly rearranges herself on my body and straddles my hips—“what did you say about pizza?”
