My lips curve. “I just want you to bend me over the car and shove your cock deep inside me to teach me a lesson.”

Kai’s fingers dig into the flesh of my ass, hinting at how he’d enjoy that. My breathing hitches in anticipation of his next move, even though there won’t be one. We’re within feet of the girls and they’ll be out here soon if I don’t return. “I knew you were a bad girl, Molly. I’d fuck you for so long without coming, you might never try that again.”

“You think you can last that long?”

He sucks on my neck and causes a shiver to blanket down my body. “Wanna find out?”

Kinda.

This man must have me all sorts of screwed up if he doesn’t believe that I crave his body as much as he does mine. He’s an art piece of muscles and black ink. My favorite part is watching them bunch and coil when he fucks me into seeing stars.

“I’m tempted,” I sass back. “But you wouldn’t do that to me, would you, babe?”

“I would,” he confirms like an asshole. “You’re making me lose time from having dinner with our girls.”

Our girls.

My damn body melts against his because Kai might not be a huge romantic, but things like this are all I need.

Confirmation.

Security.

His attention.

“Then you better stop kissing on my neck like a little leech and get inside.”

Kai pulls me tighter against him as if he doesn’t want to. “Just for making me go inside and try to keep my hard-on hidden, I’m having you for dessert. And I’m going to want more than one helping.” He slaps my ass then and straightens his spine, looking down at me with rapture and happiness in his eyes. “C’mon, baby. Let’s go eat.”

KAI

Molly’spassedoutonthe couch again. I gave her some space from my need to always be inside her, to let her have some room to do whatever it is she’s been busying herself with.

It’s been two weeks since she told me she’s pregnant and all I’ve been able to think about is getting us all settled before the baby comes. My brain has been on overdrive wanting to make sure she’s taken care of with a new car, her own space—I moved myself out of my office because I never use the damn thing—and a bunch of closet space.

Molly insists that I don’t need to rearrange my house but, where it’s hard for me to build up the conversation about the long-term, I use the art of showing her. Because I don’t want her to leave.

I don’t wish for her to ever leave.

I know what I said, and I planned for it to stay that way, but now that Molly has scrambled up my head and I can’t imagine a day without her, I’m fully aware of what I need to do.

I have to let go of my fear and open myself to her or I’m going to cock-block what could be a beautiful future and more of her underneath me.

As I hover over her like a fucking creep, I notice her laptop is open on her lap so I pluck the thing from her so I can put her to bed. She sleeps like the dead as I place it on the coffee table to close it when I notice the word document that she has up.

Molly is always closing the damn thing when I’m around and, while I don’t think she’s on any sort of dating website or anything, I’ve been curious about what she’s been typing these last few weeks.

Sitting on the table, I scroll up to the top to see my full name written in all caps withwhat it is and feels likeunderneath it. It only intrigues me to read what’s underneath and immerse myself into what she’s been working on.

Kai “Odin” Wolfe is that man who will snatch your attention when you don’t know he’s in the room. This strong entity of strength and mystery—which is what drew me to him in the first place on a fateful night that forever changed my life.

I didn’t know him when we met. A three-time world boxing champion with over a dozen endorsements and money that he couldn’t spend in three lifetimes, I’m sure. I was a newly jobless journalist who was thrown out on the street with no plan and a need for a stiff drink.

That’s when I met Kai.

I’ll give you a hundred bucks if you drink that whiskey right here, next to me.
