Serenity: Gasp! No! I thought he looked familiar. What the fuck did he want? Should we go kick his ass?

Katya: How did the guys not kill him already? I saw him go into the inn.

Ellie: You’ll probably see a lot of him. He’s sticking around. It was actually a warning. The Wicked Witch and her flying monkeys are coming to use me to clear their names. I guess the internet dragging them through the mud didn’t settle well.

Katya: Let. Me. At. Her.

Ellie: Remember there’s no margaritas in jail, ladies. I can handle them.

Serenity: That’s a solid point. But I doubt we’d get the chance. Your guys will end them the moment they try to even speak to our girl.

Katya: That might be a good show.

Ellie: I’m hoping it blows over quickly. Walter might be the one to kill them all.

Katya: Oh he will. With a smile on his face.

Serenity: Hope they don’t want coffee.

I chuckled to myself and tucked the phone away, turning my attention back to the guys who were fighting over where to eat.

“Let’s just order pizza at home. I’ve had enough people for today. Tomorrow, we can face the world.”

There was no protest as we picked things up and headed out. One day, this would be home but for now I’d settle for our tight quarters. As long as my pack was around me and the Forrest pack was far away, I was happy.

I just wished the peace would last.

“You have so much stuff,” Micah said in a mix of awe and exasperation. “It’ll take us forever to get it all up there.”

Moving Tori had proven to be way more work than any of us could have imagined.

Thankfully, everyone in my pack stepped in to help and so did my friends. Between the nine of us, I hoped it wouldn’t take all day, but my sister was a bit of a hoarder.

“Good thing we have you strapping alphas and betas to do the heavy lifting,” I teased, blowing a kiss to my pack.

Though, I couldn’t argue against Micah’s assessment of the back of the moving truck. There were heaps of boxes and furniture stacked precariously to the point an avalanche was inevitable.

My sister was not the simplistic type. She thrived in the cozy clutter she kept in her home. Micah, Tori, and I couldn’t have been further from opposites if we tried. If it weren’t for us banding against our shitty parents, we might have fought like crazy growing up. Instead, we were an unstoppable alliance.

“At least my former apartment will have some life,” Dean offered. It’d definitely be an interesting contrast to its former glory. He’d kept it little more than bare after a rift was formed between him and his twin. Neither of them have truly admitted just how dark things were in those months apart.

“Why don’t you ladies stay upstairs and direct us where to take things and unpack, we’ll bring these boxes up to you. We don’t want too many cooks in the kitchen,” Ezra said. He was eyeing the piles of boxes like a challenge and once he went into alpha mode, there was no stopping him.

“Sold,” Serenity cheered, grabbing me and Katya and pulling us after Tori. She didn’t need to be told twice and had practically run for the door the moment the words left Ezra’s mouth.

“This apartment is nice,” Katya said as she glanced around the empty space. Dean had already moved his furniture to storage and cleared all of his things out, leaving her a blank canvas.

“It’s bigger than I expected. Maybe I just assumed everything here would be small,” Tori laughed.

“I promise, not everything in town is small,” Serenity joked. “I had a big alpha just last night.” Her raspy laugh was joined by ours. Ezra’s horrified face as he entered was the icing on the cake. No one wanted to hear about their cousin’s sexcapades.

“Keep it in your pants,” he told her with a huff. “I’ve got virgin ears.”

“That’s never going to happen,” she promised him. “I’m not your sweet, younger cousin anymore. And if you’re a virgin then I’m a hooker.”

“Were you ever sweet?” he asked drily as he sat the box down on the floor. The other guys were right behind, adding to it faster than we could direct them.
