Oaks had insisted on doing some updates to the kitchen and it gleamed with stainless steel. They'd installed a kitchen island and breakfast bar along with a large dining room table that could fit all of us and then some.

Landscaping had made the front and the back of the house look lush and bright with new greenery and flowers.

It was almost hard to believe that this was ours. Maybe we'd actually get some sleep at night now. There was not a single day that had gone by since discovering the damage to my apartment, that I'd gotten a full night. The guys were sharing night shifts so someone was awake at all times.

Isaac and Amos had coordinated cleaners to clear out the apartment and my landlord was more than happy to let me out of my lease. He didn't want more drama and who could blame him.

"Hey, get out of that head of yours. We have a whole brand new house to claim," Silas teased as he walked by. All of his jokes have been surface-level lately. The fact that his brother was possibly the one ruining our lives right now had settled heavy on all three of them.

Jackson seemed to be taking it the best but they had fallen out years before. I had a feeling that this was just the final straw. He was washing his hands of any future with the asshole. Amos and Silas were different, family was a harder tie to cut.

The rest of our pack was trying to be understanding, but I doubted Evrin would ever get a chance to explain himself if he did approach. Fitting. That was how he treated me.

Between the nine of us we were able to unload the small moving truck. The furniture was already set up so all we had was a mountain of boxes. The guys had all cleared their storage units out and brought everything here.

I'd shown the guys a few ideas and inspiration boards on what I wanted the master to look like. When I opened the door I couldn't help but smile. The walls were painted a soft, muted yellow. They'd set up a small office area and had found the biggest bed available.

The art on the walls brought splashes of color with ocean scapes in watercolor. The blankets were fluffy and inviting, an array of throw pillows decorating the bed. I loved everything about the space.

The closet was stocked full of new clothes. I'd had them delivered here and it looked like someone washed and put it all away for me.

Colt walked in with a box, setting it down on the ground and pulling me into a hug.

"We're finally home, sunshine," he said as he held me.

"Thank god," I said, squeezing him back. "I love this house."

"I'll almost hate to leave it when we're on the ship," he admitted with a chuckle.

"Did we lose Jackson yet?" I asked. Sawyer, Amos, and Silas worked to create a huge gaming and computer space downstairs. There were several desks and consoles set up and I knew it would get plenty of use. The moment he stepped inside, I knew he'd be lost to us for hours.

"Come find out," he said, pulling me back downstairs. The guys were gathered in the living room. We'd picked out two matching sectionals and pushed them together so we didn't have to sit on top of each other.

I dropped into Isaac's lap. He pulled me closer, nuzzling his nose into my neck and breathing in deep. His tongue traced over the bite mark he had there, something he did any chance he got. I shuddered at the feeling.

"Bad news," he said. I guess the teasing was to soften the blow.

He shifted me so I could look at him.

"My father called."

"What the hell did he want?" I growled. Despite never meeting him, I hate the man with everything in me.

"We're needed at the Harbor. He's here in town and wants to see the changes. Has to make sure they're worth the hefty price tag they took," he said bitterly. I wanted to tell him to ignore his father, to tell him to fuck off, but that had to be his decision.

"So much for trusting you," I deadpanned.

"Sorry," he said. "I hate having to leave you, we're moving in today. I told him but he didn't care and unfortunately, it'll be worse if I don't go."

"We'll keep her safe," Amos promised. Isaac reluctantly let me go. With five members of my pack leaving it felt like the house was so empty. I never considered myself needy before, yet I hated when a single one of them wasn't with me.

"I think we need a pick me up and I could use some coffee. Want to run down to Raven's Nest?" Amos suggested. "You wanted to see Walter anyway."

"Yeah," I breathed out. "I may as well rip that bandage off, too."

We locked up the house and armed the security system. Isaac and the guys must have taken the moving truck back, so we climbed into Silas's SUV and drove across town.

My hands shook slightly as we walked inside. Kat and Ellie both looked up to greet us as we walked in.
