Her torso trembled and shivers racked her body. He took her chin and covered her mouth with his as she came, her inner walls pulsating the length of his cock.

That did it! He was going to explode!

And then he did, his own powerful orgasm tearing through him.

Good God!

His chest rose and fell with the labored efforts of his breathing as sanity and awareness returned.

“I hope you like those clothes,” Dani said, relaxing against him, her laughter wrapping itself around his heart, “because I think they’re ours now.”

The Spare! Queen Thrilled Now That Fiona’s Pregnant with Baby No. 2!

The Morning Star

“You were an asset to the faculty. We wish things were different...”

“This is an institution of higher learning, not some posh social club!”

“Parents entrust their children to us for their education and safety. To see them on the front page of some tabloid is unacceptable.”

“We really do hate to do this, but we’ve decided not to ask you back this semester.”

“That’s fucked, mate. I’m sorry,” Rhys said, leaning forward and bracing his elbows on his knees.

Jameson nodded and took a sip of his whisky. The fact that they were having this conversation here in his home office at Primrose Park, instead of at the Bell and the Crown, the pub near the uni, only caused the fire in his gut to burn hotter. He had no reason to ever visit the pub again.

Jameson shook his head. “I’ve worked there for more than a decade, and they made me a permanent lecturer a year ago. It’s not as if my being a member of the royal family is a new condition. They knew that when they hired me.”

Rhys slouched back and reached for his own drink. “But you have to admit things are different now.”

“They are?”

“A year ago, you were a reluctant royal. You didn’t want anything to do with your family and you made it very clear that you pictured a life in academia for yourself.”

“I still do!”

“But look at it from their point of view,” Rhys persisted. “Despite your protestations, you became the face of the royal tribute honoring your grandfather. An event that made you the most popular member of the most famous family in the world.”

Jameson tensed. Was Rhys takingtheirside?

“You know why I did that! The queen forced my hand!”

“Iknew,” Rhys emphasized, “they didn’t.”

Jameson leaned back in his chair and stared at the ceiling, the ornate scrollwork and medallions in the plaster as familiar to him as a child’s favorite book. He’d known from the moment the queen had drafted him into service that his life would change.

He hadn’t foreseen the good—Dani.

Or anticipated the bad—losing his job.

“There was the press coverage before the event and then we couldn’t escape your mug the entire week of the festivities. Not to mention—”
