Chapter Ten

Making His Gran Proud! Prince Jameson Steps in as Julian’s Sex Scandal Surges

The Times

Two glorious days.

Two glorious days holed up at Primrose Park with Dani.

Two glorious days holed up at Primrose Park with Dani where they never left their suite of rooms.

Where the only time he’d taken a break from indulging his overwhelming need for her had been when he couldn’t deny the sustenance his body needed to survive.

Once that had been tended to, he resumed tending to her. Kissing her lips, caressing her skin, sinking into her tight, hot body until time had no meaning, and the world, outside of the two of them, ceased to exist.

But no matter how much he wished otherwise, they couldn’t hide away forever. That’s what they’d done initially, and they’d underestimated the shock of stepping back into the real world together. Jameson didn’t intend to make that mistake again.

When he’d been in California, Dani had shared the private parts of her life with him. He’d wanted to return the favor by officially welcoming her intohislife, not the royal one.

Hence, the small, informal affair with some of his closest friends, now taking place in his sitting room. He’d invited Rhys and two of their poker buddies, Lord Jasper Strathmore, the Viscount Hastings, along with his wife, Lady Harriet, and Oliver Camden and his longtime girlfriend, Mary Baldwin. Months ago, the notion of hosting a social gathering in his house would’ve been an anathema. But he was enjoying tonight’s festivities. Maybe because it involved people he actually liked instead of the usual peerage crowd he’d had to endure.

“It was all over social media that you performed at a private birthday party in Dubai. How exciting! Do you do that sort of thing often?” Mary asked.

“I’ve done it a couple of times,” Dani said, from where she sat on the arm of Jameson’s chair, her fingers absently combing through his hair, “but that was the first time I’d traveled so far! And lots of celebrities do it, not just singers. More than you’d think.”

“We live a pretty good life,” Harriet said, “but I have to admit your IG feed leaves me a little envious.”

Jameson had first met Jasper at uni before reconnecting with him and Harriet about seven years ago. While Jasper and Harriet were titled, they were unpretentious about it in a manner that was rare to find.

“Sure,” Dani said, incredulity evident on her expressive face.

“It does! All the parties, fancy clothes, and meeting celebrities.”

“You’re a viscountess! I thought parties, fancy clothes, and famous people were just a regular Tuesday for you?”

“She wishes,” Oliver smirked.

“No one’s talking to you, Ollie,” Mary said.

“He should be used to that,” Rhys said. “Just like secondary school, right, mate?”

“I hope not,” Oliver said. “It was absolute torture. Hormonessurging through my body. A stiff wind could give me a woody. And in this weather, that meant I was constantly hard. I was jerking off so often, I developed carpal tunnel.”

“How is any of that different now?” Mary asked.

“That’s my girl!” Oliver said, leaning over and giving Mary a loud kiss.

“But seriously,” Harriet said above the laughter, “I’dtrade places with you.”

“Really?” Jameson said, raising a brow and trying to suppress a smile.

“Hey!” Jasper cried at the same time.

Harriet dropped her blushing face into her hands. “I’m making a right mess of this, aren’t I?”

“I’d say so,” Oliver smirked.

Dani pressed her palms to her face. “Stop it! I’m laughing so hard my cheeks hurt!”
