With her arms still around my neck and her basically hanging off of me, Trazia turns her head toward him. “I’ll rub my ass on whoever I want.”

Blaire and I laugh, but Camden rubs his hands down his face. “I think it’s time we head out. Apparently, someone has been sneaking myunderagebaby sister alcohol.” He looks directly at me, and I fight hard to hide my smile.

Conrad volunteers to go round up the rest of the group. No one seems heartbroken to leave as we toss back the last of our drinks before Maddox goes over to the bar and closes our tab. Once everyone is ready, we walk back—some of us stumbling—to the cars. Camden is dragging a drunk Trazia, who keeps mumbling about how she is completely sober, while Mateo is trying to keep Jules from running toward the McDonald’s next door.

Our mess of a group makes it safely into our cars and back to the house. Trazia passed out between Blaire and me and has been snoring the entire drive back to the house. When we park, Camden struggles to get her out but finally manages to haul her over his shoulder.

“Well, this has been a fun night. Jules, don’t try to escape again. There is no fast food near here and Conrad ordered you enough nuggets for the rest of the trip,” Camden states as he heads up the stairs with his sister still slung over his shoulder and Blaire right behind him.

We all retire back to our rooms, and the buzz I have had from the alcohol is starting to wear off. Conrad closes our bedroom door and sets a bottle of water and orange pills on the nightstand beside my bed.

With a groan, I flop down on the bed and stare up at Conrad. “I think I drank too much.”

He laughs and starts removing the throw pillows from behind me. “Those vodka cranberries are dangerous.”

Conrad begins moving around the room and grabs a pair of his sleep pants as well as an oversized T-shirt for me. “You’re looking sexy,” I tell him as he removes his clothes before pulling on the sleepwear.

Chuckling, he makes his way over to me. “And you’re drunk. Here, change into this and I’ll grab your wipes so you don’t have to sleep in your makeup.”

My heart swells with how sweet this man can be. Reaching for the bottom of my dress, I lift it over my head before tossing it on the floor. Conrad comes back from the bathroom with my makeup wipes in his hand and takes in my naked body on the bed.

“What the fuck is on your tits?” he asks, trying to hide his laugh.

Confused, I look down and quickly grab the comforter to cover myself. “Oh no. I forgot these were on. I was trying to be sexy for you.”

Unable to cover his laugh anymore, Conrad walks over with a wide smile on his face. “Baby, you’re always sexy, but seriously, what are those?” He pulls the comforter back and stares at my chest.

“They’re pasties. I couldn’t wear a bra with this dress and didn’t want my nipples to be saluting everyone.”

My arms are crossed over my chest and Conrad pulls them apart. His fingers toy with one of the pasties and start to pull the edge away from my skin until my nipple is freed. “This is the least sexy thing. But I’m glad your nipples weren’t on display for everyone.”

With another groan, I rip the other pastie off. “How about now? Sexy enough to bang?”

“You will always be sexy enough to bang, Em. But right now, you’re going to wash your face, change into that shirt, take the meds I put on your nightstand, and then we’re going to bed.”

Lifting myself up, I crawl to the side of the bed and wrap my arms around Conrad’s neck. “But the ugly pasties are gone and I want to have sexy time.”

Too fast for me to object, Conrad slides the T-shirt over my head, covering my naked body. “You’ve had a lot of alcohol tonight. Time for sleep. We can have sexy time later when you’re sober.” He leans forward and kisses my nose. “Now go take the pills I brought up so you don’t have a headache in the morning and get under those covers. I’m going to shower and I’ll join you after.”

Listening to his instructions, I take the pills and chug half the bottle of water. All too soon, my eyelids get heavy, and as I snuggle under the comforter, I drift off to a deep sleep while listening to the sounds of water falling from the bathroom.

EMREE

The last six days have been more perfect than I could ever imagine. While it started out with Conrad in one of his weird moods where he seemed guarded, something changed on Tuesday when we were on the beach, and since then, he hasn’t left my side. In the mornings, I either wake up with his arms wrapped around me in a tight hold or his mouth on some part of my body. Almost every day started and ended perfectly with the most beautiful lovemaking we have ever had. It was as if he couldn’t get enough of me and while I’m not sure what changed, I’m not complaining either.

For so long, I have tried to get Conrad to take our relationship seriously. While we haven’t said those important three words to each other, I know I have been in love with him for a while now. My biggest fear is that when I tell him, it will send him running in the opposite direction. Conrad is not prepared for that kind of serious relationship, and I don’t want to push him before he’s ready.

It’s our last night at the beach house and we all decided to have a bonfire. Camden mans the grill and makes several steaks for everyone. Jules and Trazia took care of the sides and made some mashed potatoes and corn. Blaire, Maddox, and I went to the store to get supplies to make s’mores. It’s a perfect night with no clouds in the dark sky, making the moon and stars shine bright.

The beach house has a large porch that is the length of the entire home. It has a large outdoor kitchen with a grill, sink, refrigerator, smoker, wood-fired pizza oven, and several cabinets filled with supplies. There is matching patio furniture and a ten-person outdoor table and chairs. Much like the rest of the house, everything is extravagant and expensive, yet beautiful. It’s something many people dream about.

It’s a chilly night, and Blaire and I have been enjoying the fire to help warm us up. In contrast to how I dress during the day, tonight I have my thickest leggings and a tie-dye T-shirt on with a throw blanket wrapped around my shoulders. Blaire is wearing a pair of jeans and a long-sleeved Henley T-shirt. Her feet are covered in fuzzy socks, and she is wearing her brown Birkenstock sandals since they’re all she packed.

Looking over toward the grill, I see Conrad. He’s changed into a pair of gym shorts and a blue hoodie with our school’s name in gold on the front. He’s chatting with Camden as they keep an eye on the meat cooking. He must feel me staring at him because he looks over his shoulder and smiles at me. Before turning back to Camden, he winks at me and resumes their conversation.

“That boy is sure smitten,” Blaire tells me with a smirk on her face.
