She nodded, her eyes wide with worry. “Sorry, Daddy. I won’t do it again.”
“I know you won’t. But you’re still going to get a spanking to help remind you not to do it again. Let’s go to our apartment.”
Taking her by the hand, he started leading her out of the room but she stopped suddenly. “Can I get Binks?”
The stuffed bat was on the floor near all the fallen books, so he released her hand and nodded. “Go ahead.”
She quickly grabbed the bat, hugging it to her chest as she took his hand again and followed him toward the apartment.
As soon as they were inside, he turned to her. “Go put Binks on the bed, and then you need to go stand in the corner for a few minutes to think about how what you two did was dangerous and how you both could have been seriously hurt.”
After a brief hesitation, she turned and went to the bedroom with him following close behind. She tossed Binks on the bed and then looked back at Kade. “You’re gonna watch me while I’m in the corner?”
Nodding, he crossed his arms over his chest. “Yep. Now, pants and panties off before you go.”
Her eyes widened. “Why do I have to take them off?”
Walking over to her, he pinned her with a stern look. “Because naughty Little girls have to have their bottom on display while they’re serving time in the corner.”
Without waiting for her response, he hooked his thumbs in her leggings and panties and pulled them down her legs. Since she was still barefoot, he didn’t have to remove her shoes before she put her hands on his shoulders and stepped out of her bottoms.
Rising, he pointed toward the corner. “Go on. Ten minutes.”
Her mouth dropped open but she didn’t argue. Instead, she turned around and shuffled to the corner at a snail’s pace.
“Time doesn’t start until you’re actually in the corner,” he told her.
“Well, that just sucks,” she murmured.

Had he forgotten to set the timer? Because it felt like she’d been standing in that stupid corner for at least an hour. And the entire time she stood there, all she could think about was her upcoming spanking, which, based on her no-pants situation, she guessed would be on her bare bottom.

“When we talked about safety rules, didn’t we talk about not climbing on stuff?”
“Well, yes, but you said no climbing on chairs or the counters. I didn’t climb on either of those.”
Maybe that would help. Maybe he would realize that she hadn’t known that climbing on Ivy’s shoulders would be against the rules. The look on his face told her he wasn’t buying any of it.
“Little girl, don’t try to get out of this with a technicality. Climbing on someone is the same thing as climbing on chairs or counters. When you two decided to climb on each other, did you not think it was dangerous and you could possibly fall?”
Well, crap. She really wanted to lie, but she had a feeling he would know, and then she’d be in even more trouble. So instead, she nodded. “I knew one of us could fall.”
He nodded and grabbed hold of her wrist before pulling her over his lap in one swift move. “Breaking the rules, especially health or safety rules will always get you put in this position. Your safeword is pickle, and you can use it if you need to.”
