Rock nodded, running a hand over the back of his neck. “Yep. Good luck.”

“Thanks, I need it. Hey, can I ask a favor? You have a spare key to Remi’s apartment, right?”

* * *

When he left Rock’s apartment, Kade went to the community room to look for Remi, only to find her in the Littles room sitting on her bottom next to Ivy as they played dolls.

“Hey, Princess. Wanna go for a ride?”

Her eyes lit up and she was on her feet in no time. His baby girl loved riding on the back of his motorcycle almost as much as he loved having her there.

By the time he got her helmet situated and they were on his bike, he was practically shaking with nerves. It was all happening so fast, but he always believed that when you knew, you knew, and he fucking knew.

He took her riding all through town trying to decide where he wanted to take her. There was no plan. He wanted it to be special, but he wasn’t a roses and chocolates kind of guy. She wasn’t a roses and chocolates kind of girl either. She was an MC princess. His princess. And the MC was as much her home as it was his. Hell, the club was the place he’d first realized he had feelings for her. As she danced and giggled on her twenty-first birthday, wearing a tiara that one of her friends had given her, that’s when he just knew, even if neither of them had acted on it for years. She’d been his all along.

Realizing he was searching for a special place that didn’t exist for them in the town, he headed back toward the compound. That was their special place. It might not seem romantic to most, but to him, it was meaningful.

When he pulled into the gates, he rode back behind the shop and parked in the space between the two buildings where her birthday party had been held and shut off the engine. She climbed down and pulled her helmet off, running her fingers through her windblown pigtails, a big smile on her face.

“That was fun, Daddy! I love riding with you.”

Taking in a deep breath, he set his helmet down on his bike and reached into his pocket before dropping down on one knee. She looked at him with a confused expression at first and then her eyes went wide.

“Daddy, what are you doing?”

“I tried to think of a special place to do this and then I realized the most special place for me is right here because this is where I realized I have feelings for you. This is where I fell in love with you over the past several years and this is where I want to marry you. I love you, Remi. You’re my whole world and I want you to be my wife forever. You’re it for me. There will never be anyone else in my life. Would you do me the honor of marrying me?”

She brought her hands up to her mouth as she nodded. When he opened the box and she looked at the ring, she burst into tears.

“My mom’s ring. You got my mom’s ring?” she asked through sobs.

As soon as she stepped close enough, she threw her arms around him and fell into his arms, sobbing loudly as her entire body trembled.

“Your dad thought you might like this better than a new ring, but I’ll buy you a new ring if you want.”

She shook her head. “No. I want this one. It’s so special.”

“My hope is that our marriage will be as filled with love as theirs was.”

Clinging to him, she nodded. “It will, Daddy. I love you so much. Yes, I want to marry you, forever and ever.”

Suddenly people were cheering, and he looked around to find a crowd of people had gathered outside. Smiling proudly, he rose to his feet, pulling Remi up with him and wrapped his arms around her as he pressed a kiss to her lips.

“I love you, Princess.”

“I love you, too, Daddy.”

“Should we go celebrate with our family?”

She nodded. “We need to call Atlas too. He’s probably going to give you the big brother talk, but he’ll be so happy. He’s always loved you.”

Chuckling, Kade nodded. “Okay, baby. We’ll call Atlas.”

Rock walked up and Remi flew into his arms, hugging her dad tightly. Both of them had tears rolling down their cheeks.

The moment was so special, it made Kade choke up and he had to clear his throat several times before he could speak again. Steele and Ivy came over, grinning. Ivy hugged Remi while Steele slapped Kade on the back and offered him congratulations.

“Let’s go celebrate!” Steele announced to the group.
