“Hey. If I didn’t want to explore this with you, I wouldn’t have suggested it. I’ll admit, at first, I was a little unsure, but the more I learn about it, the louder this little voice inside me gets. I’ve been having a lot of dreams lately, and to be honest, they kind of scare me,” his voice dropped softly.

I shivered, and not necessarily in fear. “What kind of dreams?”

Gareth’s eyes darted away from mine like he was afraid of what I’d see, and his hand fell to lie between us.

“Tell me,” I coaxed.

He hesitated a moment longer, and still wouldn’t meet my gaze. “In some of them you’re bound with rope, your arms trapped at your lower back, while I fuck you from behind. In another, you’re on your back with your arms above your head. My hand is on your throat.”

I swallowed almost feeling his fingers tighten against my neck. Surprisingly, my core began to throb.

“That one scared me the most.” Gareth finally locks eyes with me.

My hand reached for his, and I placed it back against my cheek laying mine on top. “You would never hurt me.”

“Not intentionally,” his voice was like gravel. “Which is why I want to learn things and how to be safe with them. We can experiment all we want with spanking, but with anything that could potentially harm you…I don’t trust myself.”

I understood his worry, and hearing that he didn’t seem to be doing this just to make me happy made me feel better. “Okay, if you’re sure.”

“I am.”

A gust of air left me. “Well then, I guess, tomorrow's a good place to start. Like you said, there’s only so much we can learn online. " Knowing Gareth would be with me calmed a lot of my nerves. I wasn't alone. Plus, he was a lot more outgoing than me.

"I think we'll have fun. Plus, who doesn't love bowling?" He sent me my favorite lopsided, goofy grin.

"It has been forever since we've gone," I said through a yawn.

Gareth leaned down for a good night kiss. “Alright then, it’s a date. Now, get some rest. Night, babe."

"Night." I rolled back to my other side and scooted closer. It had taken me a while to get used to sleeping with someone, but now I had trouble falling asleep if I wasn't spooning. Despite our cuddling, I still laid awake for far too long, curious about this munch tomorrow night. Eventually, I drifted off, but I was restless the entire night.

We strodethrough the bowling alley. Gareth held tightly to my hand. I'd never been so nervous before in my life. He gave me a little squeeze and a reassuring smile. "It's going to be fine. We're just here to meet people, remember?"

"I know. I'm still feeling out of sorts."

He stopped us in the middle of the walkway and palmed my cheeks, staring down at me. "Hey, remember what I said last night. We don't have to do this if we don't want to. I don't want you uncomfortable. If neither of us are ready, we can turn around and go home."

I covered his hands with mine. I loved him so much. "No, I'm okay. Let's do this."

"You sure?"

"Positive." I nodded for emphasis.

"Okay."

We continued toward the end of the building where the online calendar said everyone would be meeting. It had taken me an hour to decide what to wear. I had no idea what the dress code was, except "vanilla", whatever that meant. My eyes scanned the crowd looking for people who were here for the same reason we were. Everyone looked the same. They were all dressed in casual clothes, throwing balls down the lane, laughing, and having a good time. Like normal people. No one stood out.

Gareth and I finally made it to lane twenty. According to the event notice, the group had reserved lanes twenty through twenty-seven for the evening. An older man, maybe in his fifties, stood chatting with a similar aged woman at the first table we reached. Thankfully, Gareth took the lead."Excuse me," --the couple turned--"Hi. We're here for the munch. Are we in the right place?"

The man smiled, his tanned face creasing in the corner of his mouth. "You sure are. Welcome. I'm Randy, and this is Collette."

Gareth reached out and shook his hand. "Nice to meet you. I'm Gareth, and this is my fiancée, Livvie."

"Hi," I said, trying to keep the tremor out of my voice.

"I take it this is your first time at one of these?" Collette asked, kindly.
