Terrence chuckled. “His drunk ass must’ve gotten into the wrong car. Keisha is looking for him. He was supposed to step out and call them a cab.”

He’d been planning to leave with Keisha. The bastard!

Tiera swallowed her anger and said, “Tell her she can come to the house and get him. I’m pretty sure I won’t be able to drag him inside alone anyway.”

“Don’t worry about it. He hadn’t wanted her to come to the party anyway. She came on her own. He’ll be happy to have escaped her. Oh, by the way, I won’t be coming home tonight.”

“That’s no surprise.” Tiera rolled her eyes.

“Don’t hate. Seriously, though, mom and Mrs. Fitzgerald are staying at the Fitzgerald’s tonight to watch movies like they do each Christmas Eve.”

“Yeah. I’m sure neither of them made it through the first movie. By now, they’re sound asleep.”

“Which is why I need you to take Caleb to our house. Don’t let our parents see him drunk.”

“Why did you let him get this drunk?”

“I went to dance with Jaila. I wasn’t gone long. When I came back, he was downing a drink and reaching for another. I couldn’t stop him.”

“Whatever. I know what to do.”

“Thanks, sis. You’re the best.”

“Remember that when I ask to borrow money.” She hung up before he could protest. Her gaze jerked to Caleb. “I guess you’ll be sleeping in Terrence’s room tonight.”

Luckily, when they made it home, the cab driver helped her get Caleb inside and into her bed. She’d wanted to take him to her brother’s room, but it was too far away, and Caleb’s ass was heavy as hell. The driver had begun to protest. So, she’d decided to let the drunkard have her room, and she’d take Terrence’s.

After the driver left, she locked the house up and went to check on Caleb. Being the nice friend she was, she took his shoes off so he could sleep comfortably. Plus, she didn’t need him dirtying up her bed. That done, she draped a blanket over him. Instead of moving away, she remained by his side, peering down at him.

He looked so peaceful and kind when he slept. If only he could be that way when he was awake. Tiera sighed. That wouldn’t be happening anytime soon. Just as she started to step away from the bed, his eyes popped open.

She froze. Face inches away from his, Tiera stared into his dark eyes. Time stood still. Neither of them said a word. Her brain was screaming for her to step away. Her heart and body kept her frozen in place.

“You,” he whispered.

Before she could say anything, he reached up, grabbed the back of her head, and pulled her in for a kiss.

CHAPTER ONE

THE PART

Tiera

The moment his lips touched hers, she was lost.

She’d been kissed before. Plenty of times. Yet, this was something more. This kiss sent tingles traveling all over her body. But it didn’t end with a kiss. Caleb pulled her on top of him as his tongue danced with hers. Her dress ripped as she straddled him. She didn’t care.

The hard-on she felt underneath the covers wiped away all her cares and concerns. She couldn’t believe she was really kissing Caleb Fitzgerald, the man she’d been in love with most of her life. And he had a hard-on for her. Yeah, this felt like a Christmas gift to her.

“Too much fabric,” he mumbled against her lips.

He was right. There was too much fabric separating their bodies. They both began pulling at the covers that separated them. With the covers out of the way, the only thing left was their clothing. A yelp escaped her when he reversed their positions, flipping her onto her back.

Damn, he was strong. That only made her want him more. The hungry look in his eyes caused her breath to catch. This was the look she’d been craving. This was the look she’d fantasized about for so long.

“I tore your dress,” he whispered.

“I can make another one,” she replied. After all, she was studying fashion design.
