“At corrupting you.”

A shiver of excitement races up my spine. “No,” I whisper.

“Show me what you’re hiding, baby.”

Baby. The word feels like a caress and fills me with happiness. The endearment’s another first—he always addresses me by my name. They say absence makes the heart grow fonder. Did he miss me after disappearing for three weeks?

I swallow hard and lower my arms, my D-cup-size breasts bouncing free. On my small frame, breasts this size appear bigger. And he, freakishly, loves them. Is borderline obsessed with them.

“Come here.”

I step closer, and immediately notice my granny’s crystal cocktail glass on the table, alongside a nearly empty whiskey bottle I don’t recognize.

We had a few drinks the night we met, but I’ve never seen him drunk.

“What’s wrong?”

His dark hair’s mussed, like he’s been raking fingers through it. Scruff’s on his chin like he’s forgotten to shave. I’ve memorized every curve of his lips, the cupid’s bow of his upper lip softening his expression despite how his no-nonsense bottom lip’s drawn tight.

Killer lips, either way.

How little I know about him, other than he thrives on control, domination, and filthy, dirty sex. He’s always well-groomed, hair smoothed back and face baby-bottom smooth. But tonight … something’s upsetting him.

He leans back and looks his fill, until my skin’s flushed completely pink.

“Fuck,” he finally murmurs. It’s the only warning I get.

He stands and lunges, knocking over his chair as he grabs me by the waist, hauling me off my feet, then rolling me back across the kitchen table. His arms wrap around me as he nuzzles his face between my breasts.

“What’s happened?” I weave my fingers through his hair. Soothing him. Comforting him.

But he doesn’t respond.

In moments like this, he allows me inside. Deepening our connection in a way words never could. His vulnerability as tangible as my shattered heart. The week before his visits stopped, I sensed the shift in him. Relentlessly fucking me every way he could was normal, but wrapping me in his arms afterward and praising me until I fell asleep was new.

Why did he stop coming?

We embrace for a long while, until the moonlight dims and we’re cast back into darkness.

His head turns, and I gasp as he wraps his lips around my nipple.

God, I missed his mouth on me. His body. Even his controlling ways. He sucks, and my toes curl. He relinquishes one nipple for the other but this time, he uses his teeth to nip me.

I arch into him.

“Tempting.” He draws away but drags me to the edge of the table as he moves. “But I need something darker tonight.” With expert hands, he tugs my sleep shorts off.

I swallow back my nervous excitement as he pulls over a chair and settles into it, positioning himself between my thighs.

“You have a choice, Riley. Mouth or finger? But choose wisely, because you’ve no idea what else I’m going to do.”

“Both.” My heart races.

His lips curl. “I hoped my greedy girl would say that. Now beg me for it.”

“Lick me.”

“Louder. So the neighbors can hear your sweet pleas.”
