“Now, you, per favore, don’t play these games with me. Nothing is going to change how much I love my sister or how far I’m willing to go to protect her.”

“You’re a good girl, Nicole. You deserve the best in life.” I glanced at her belly. “Your baby, too. That’s why, to ease your stress for his or her sake, I’ll let you see her.”

I nodded for her to follow me as I rounded my desk. Eagerly she came with me, and I pressed a keyboard button to bring the feed to the screen.

“Lina,” she gasped.

Nicco suddenly stopped crying. Mamma’s boy. A little traitor like her. “As you can see she’s in good condition, has food on the table, living in a fully equipped, comfortable room.” I turned off the feed, and as if on cue, Nicco cried again. “Anything else?”

She ran a hand through her hair with a sigh. “Thank you.”

“Are you sure? You don’t want to plead someone else’s case? You know, like your husband who’s been shot in the chest…by me?”

“You didn’t kill him, Tino. You could have and no one would have blamed you, but you didn’t. You brought him here, had doctors operate on him. He’s still in recovery. I know where he is at all times. He’s been looked after, and Leo told me you graciously left Dom’s destiny in Leo’s hands and mine. I couldn’t ask for more.”

Smart girl. “Leo, huh? I see the two of you have become friends.”

She glanced up at me, fire in her eyes. “Domenico is my husband and the father of my baby. That can’t change, Tino. And…I still love him.” Her voice shook at the end. “It’s hard to believe, but I do…just like I know you still love my sister, too.”

My eyes twitched, and so did the rhythm of my heart. “Love?”

“Tell yourself whatever you want to soothe the pain you can’t shake away, but some things will never change no matter how hard you try.”

“I don’t think I ever hated someone more than I hated Angelina, Nicole.”

“You can say that you hate her the most, but that only means you loved her the most, and once you’ve had your revenge, you’ll love her even more.”

CHAPTER SIX

TINO

I let Arancia take Nicco to his mother during his feeding times. I wasn’t doing it for her. It was mostly for my baby boy and…for me. As much as I loved my son and wanted to do what was best for him, part of me loved to watch her holding him, nursing him…especially in that room.

Six days I’d been watching her, while she took care of our baby, while she cried and begged for me to come down, while she touched herself and sobbed my name. She was driving me crazy in every way possible, with fury, with every dark need she knew I craved from her. That girl knew what I wanted, what I needed, and she wasn’t afraid or ashamed of doing anything that would lure me back to her.

But no, Angel. No matter how much I need you, you’ll pay for what you’ve done. My absence is part of your punishment, even if it means punishing myself, too.

I fisted my enraged cock and rubbed myself, watching her hips thrust up as her fingers dipped in my property without permission, as her back arched and her tears painted her face, as her begging went through me like an aphrodisiac swelling my balls until they begged me for a release.

“You look so broken, so beautiful when you cry, my Angel.” I bit down a groan. “You make me want to fuck your soul and see if it will weep, too, for me, just like your pussy does.”

She came with shameless screams, and my cum covered my hand.

On the seventh day, Nicole paid me another visit at the office. Her eyes were framed with makeup that was supposed to hide the marks exhaustion and crying left, but I noticed. She should know by now I noticed everything.

Just like I noticed today she wasn’t going to talk about her sister.

“I heard Domenico was off all machines and could breathe and walk by himself,” she started.

“You heard right. I also heard you haven’t visited him, not once, but today, here you are. Are you finally ready to see him?”

Her lips parted as she glanced at me, but nothing came out of her mouth, and once she was seated, she averted her gaze.

Maybe I should put her out of her misery and do the talking. I knew why she was here anyway. “I left his destiny to Leo and you. That doesn’t mean delaying your visit will change the inevitable.”

“What if…” Her breath trembled. “What if Leo decides to kill him?”

“If that’s not your wish, then that’s between the two of you to resolve.”
