I shook my head. I couldn't. If I did I was going to do something crazy like lock her away in a foolproof panic room and never let her out. She wasn't safe anywhere with the club, but especially not around me.
"You're going home."
She swallowed. "Come with me."
She had no idea how bad I wanted to do just that. I'd waited three weeks for more of her kisses and I'd resolved that tonight would be the start of something bigger for us.
What a fucking joke.
"No." It came out cold because it had to. I didn't want her to wonder if she could change my mind later.
"Please." Finally the smile had disappeared from her face, but I wasn't going to let anything change my mind. I nodded my head at Bear and he gently grasped her elbow and half walked half dragged her to the door.
Before he got her outside, I called out. "Oh, and Sasha." She looked at me with renewed hope shining in her eyes that hardened my heart completely. "You're fucking fired."
