“Andie…” The low warning was all I got before he started thrusting as deep as he could.

This time, I was ready for the explosion and swallowed quickly so I wouldn’t drown. He freed one of his hands from my hair and stroked my cheek.

“I wish you could see yourself as I see you right now,” he said, looking down at me. “Your pretty lips wet and stretched over me. The moisture in your eyes.” He grunted and started thrusting more earnestly. My eyes went wide in disbelief.

“I cannot decide which I like better. My mouth on you or yours on me.”

He came again with as much force and quantity as the first time. As I did my best to keep up and breathe, I realized how far over my head I was.

“Earth to Andie,”Brandon said. “Do you want another burger?”

I blinked him into focus and slowly shook my head, careful not to move in my seat. Everything down there still felt swollen and ready to go off at a moment's notice. I’d never felt perpetually on the edge of the big “O” like this before and didn’t know what to do about it.

My gaze slid to Roni, who was scrutinizing me with narrowed eyes. She knew something was up. It didn’t matter that we’d returned before lunch as we’d said. Or that my swollen lips and flushed face could have been due to a lot of kissing. Somehow, she knew. And I really wished I could have a ten-minute quiet conversation with her to figure out if there was a remedy for an overused fun zone. If anyone would know, I figured she would.

“You should eat another one,” Molev said, his hand brushing over my shoulder.

I tore my gaze from Roni’s and looked up at him. He still looked like he wanted to devour me. How many times had we gone down on each other? Four? Five? When was it enough?

“Can’t,” I said. “I’m full.”

Next time he wanted to fool around, I’d insist on a shower. If I knew I could survive it, offering sex would be smarter, but I was pretty sure he’d break me and not because of his size. Molev was a monster and a machine.

Maybe thousands of years without sex did that to a guy. Maybe his libido would settle down once he started getting it on the regular. I shook my head, unsure I was willing to open that Pandora’s box to find out.

“Something wrong?” Roni asked.

“Nothing,” I said, eating a fry. “Any plans for the rest of the day?”

I really hoped they had plans. Part of me feared Molev would want to return to the house next door.

“I was going to go for a run if anyone wants to join me,” Roni said.

I shook my head along with everyone else.

“I’ll join you,” Molev said.

Roni grinned like the Cheshire cat.

“Cool. Let’s go.”

I breathed a sigh of relief after they left and slinked off to the shower. My tender bits appreciated the cool water, and by the time I stepped out, wearing underwear wasn’t such a chore. Feeling more human, I dressed again and went out to join the others out back.

Steve passed me a beer. “You’ve been pretty quiet. I take it that means the meeting with Waurlyn didn’t go very well?”

I wanted to smack myself for forgetting about that and not updating them. My priorities were seriously messed up by Molev’s detour earlier. Taking a large swallow of beer and clearing my throat, I thought back to this morning.

“They’re doing another trial this afternoon. Molev and I met him. His name’s Michael. Everyone was upfront with him about the previous results and the likelihood of success, which isn’t good. But Waurlyn said they’re learning more with each one, narrowing things down, so she hasn’t given up hope that the blood will work eventually.

“Molev told her about his desire to go home in the bluntest way possible. It visibly shocked her, but once he explained why and how it might benefit the research, she seemed a little more receptive.

“Oh, and she thought having a mixer, or anything where food and drink were provided in a social gathering way, would be problematic since the camps are rationing.”

Sid looked down at his beer.

“Hey,” I said. “We’re earning this. Trust me. Since a mixer was out, we agreed to some light field training. That means all of us will be working with the volunteers, teaching them a few of the basic moves that Molev has taught us to stay alive. The first one hundred are showing up tomorrow.”
