Still, both of them were too uncomfortable to live on campus, and Bodhi hadn’t hesitated in saying yes when Caleb offered him the room. Ravi had gone on living with Wren, and everyone seemed like they were settling into a normal that Caleb could have never predicted.

They had Luke and Ananda’s wedding coming up which was set for the spring, and Caleb would be there with Bodhi on his arm. They’d dance. They’d kiss. They’d enjoy their little found family.

After that, Ravi and Bodhi had agreed to go and spend time with their father who had been dying to know them since they were children. Bodhi asked Caleb to come along, saying he was family now, and it was a profound thing to realize.

Caleb wasn’t sure he ever wanted anything as traditional as marriage, but when he looked down at Bodhi in his arms, he knew he was staring at his forever. He stroked his cheek, then tilted his chin up to kiss him slow and soft.

“Love you,” he murmured aloud since he knew Bodhi had his hearing aids on.

Bodhi grinned against his lips and pulled back to press the sign back against Caleb’s heart. He could feel the thud in his chest—powerful and present. Beating for the man he was holding.

“Meet you at home when you’re done?” Caleb eventually asked.

Bodhi grinned. “Home,” he echoed.

Caleb held him just a little tighter.
