“For the bougie people in the city? They wouldn’t buy it if it were offered at a decent price. They’d think something was wrong with it.”

“Astute. Okay, but don’t get greedy either.”

Tucker was feeding the pigs when we arrived and nodded to us as Dale came from the smoker. “Almost ready, sirs. Should be going out to the locals tomorrow, and I’ll truck them to the city the day after.”

“Thank you, Dale,” Theo said, and I smiled as he got the name right. I was starting to suspect he purposely got the words wrong to be a shithead.

“You’re welcome, and thanks for the raise! You didn’t have to; you gave us a place to live.”

I turned to Theo, knowing the shock was on my face but unable to help it. Theo sauntered over to the pigs, pointing out one of the piglets that were getting big. “They were so tiny when we first got here.”

“Didn’t think you noticed.”

“Sure. They were cute. I saw them when you threw me into the other pen. They came to the fence, and it felt like they were laughing at me.”

“Ha, I like that. So…you gave them a raise?”

Theo shrugged his shoulder and informed me, “They’re doing a lot more than they were originally hired to do. And…well, they’re nice, I guess.”

“You don’t have to pay people to be nice anymore, Theo. I appreciate you giving them a raise because they work hard and are great employees, but if you give them a raise because you want them to like you….”

“Can’t I want both? You said you didn’t expect me to change overnight. I’m working slowly. I no longer pay you, and you’re still here. I don’t pay Eli, Joel, and I like them very much now. Brett, too, I am beginning to consider a friend.” He looked away from me, and his voice cracked. “Did I…did I tell you that Jamiah no longer wants to be my friend?”

That struck me in the heart. “Oh? Well, good riddance.”

“He wanted me to take him to this festival in Cancun, and when I said I had commitments here, he got angry. I invited him, now that I’m not hiding, and he asked why he would want to come to some podunk town. I said to see me. He laughed.”

I didn’t know when this happened, but I was furious. Still, I couldn’t show it. I had to ease Theo about it the right way. “Well, good. I didn’t trust him anyway. And I’m your Master now and won’t allow people like that near you.”

He turned his face and looked up at me, letting me see his eyes glistening. “Yes. Good riddance to bad rubbish.”

“Right. You’re too good for Jamiah. He’s a user, and you have real people around you now. I’m sure he’s terribly jealous.”

“That must be it. Yes, jealous.”

“This week, we’ll keep coming to learn more about the operation. For now, let’s get home so we can train some more, hmm?”

“Home. Yeah. I like that. Home.”

Chapter Sixteen

The living room was covered in the old sheets we no longer were allowed to use on the beds, per my slave’s strict orders. He also wouldn’t allow lube or body fluid on the new furniture.

His concern for our home was sweet, so I went along with everything, and Brett helped cover the sofa that Ryan and I shared. I appreciated that Ryan was training me intensely as he was with Theo. I needed to learn to be the best for Theo. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

“Brett, undress now. Theo, you too, unless your Master objects to me seeing you,” he said, then laughed. “Well, more of you than the clothes already show.”

He fist-bumped me, and I laughed too. “Undress, Theo.”

They got naked before us, then Ryan called Brett over to kneel before him. Then he nodded to Theo and said, “Do what you want to him now. He should be in complete submission for you. Nothing you do to him is out of bounds unless it’s in the contract.”

That was huge. The weight was on my chest, making it hard to breathe.

All my life, I’d taken what it handed me. Good times and bad, I made my way through things, only taking what I needed, but there was no end to how badly I needed Theo. It felt cheesy, but I knew he was mine the first time I saw him. His beauty was one thing, as he was a beautiful man, like a piece of fine art. His need was what drew me, though. All those years of fighting for others, doing what I was told, being the person I was meant to be, but not anymore. Right then, I was Theo’s Master. It’s a job I wanted and Theo needed. He was my new everything.

“All fours, facing away from me.”

Theo did what I asked and presented me with his ass.
