Ryder groans. “Oh no. There's two of them."

I watch the two of them leave the room bickering with Lexie skipping ahead of them. “I don't think Jareth is quite as bad as Hendrix, but it'll be good for him to let go a little bit. He grew up with really strict parents."

"And the exchange program has pretty specific rules for omega behavior as well. I'm looking forward to seeing how he blossoms now that he's free."

"Me too." I roll over onto my stomach to smile at Ryder. "Ready to clean up?"

He smiles back at me, heat flickering in his eyes. "We could do that. Or we could leave it for later and I can finish the tour of the house."

"What's left that I haven't seen?" I can’t handle many more surprises.

"The bedrooms. There's one for each of you, but yours is rather special."

"Oh?"

"Want to see?"

I nod. “Of course. But you have done way too much spoiling already and we've only been here a couple hours."

Rider rises and holds a hand out to me to help me up to my feet. “I’m enjoying myself. Let me."

I let him drag me from the library and back down the hall. “Yeah, okay. Just promise not to take it too far. Please?"

I don’t hold out much hope.

"No, I don't think I'll promise that. But I will promise I won't bankrupt myself by spoiling you all."

"Fine. I guess that's good enough." My jaw drops as he pushes open the door two down from the library. "Nevermind, you clearly have no idea how to control yourself when it comes to this. Ryder, this is ridiculous."

He jerks. “What?"

I shake my head. “Seriously? This bed could fit six fully grown male alphas. And is this the master bedroom instead of a guest room? What are you doing?"

It’s beautiful, decorated in deep purples and grays. But the bed is utterly insane.

“I’m trying to tempt you to stay. And you may not be an omega, but you'll be the center of us, so you deserve a big bed we can all crawl into with you. I'm sure things will be different for Jareth's heats, but the rest of the time, there's plenty of room here. Everyone will have their own rooms, so if you want your space or only want one of us with you, everyone else will have a place to go."

"Ryder, this is too much. How could I possibly go home with all this tempting me here?"

"That's the point. I want to tempt you into staying. I don't want to force you, and I'll respect whatever choice you make, but I never claimed I'd play fair."

"It's mean." I try out my own pout on him.

He raises a brow, his lips curling at the edges. “Is it?"

"Maybe."

"Are you tempted?" He asks.

I take a step towards him, losing myself in green. “Yes. But not because of the gigantic bed and only a little for the library. It's you that tempts me to stay here. It's Hendrix. It's what the five of us could build together that tempts me."

He stares back at me. “What's stopping you?"

"Fear, I guess. Guilt and worry about doing the wrong thing for Lexie."

"And you think this is the wrong thing for her?"

I shake my head. “No, I think she'll be thrilled if we decide to stay. But if we don't work out, she'll be equally as devastated."
