“So you know thatsomethinghappened, but you don’t know for sure if anything else has happened since then?” Skyler asks.

“I’m pretty sure it has. Based off some…things.”

“Things?” Jackson asks, one brow arched.

I cringe, wishing I’d never started this conversation. “I’d rather not go into it.”

“I think you’ll have to,” Skyler says.

I let out a heavy sigh. “Urgh, fine. Things like…I noticed Drew washed his sheets three times last week.”

Skyler’s brows shoot up. “Jeez. You’d think Sully would have a few tricks for avoiding a wet spot. I mean, it’s not that hard to come on a guy’s chest. Or, better yet, in his mouth.” He brings his hands together to mime dusting them off. “No mess, no stress.”

I roll my eyes. “Thanks. I desperately needed that advice.”

Jackson folds his arms over his chest, looking mildly amused. “What other clues have you gathered, Detective Deacon?”

Why do I get the feeling that nickname is going to stick? “The only other physical evidence was a tube of lube I saw in the kitchen when I got home on Friday night.”

Skyler gives a nod of approval. “Kitchen. Nice. Although they could have mixed things up a little—so many other options for getting slicked up right there in front of you. Olive oil, butter, mayonnaise…”

“Mayonnaise?” Jackson asks, expression incredulous.

Skyler shrugs. “It’s oil-based.”

“You seriously put mayonnaise up your butt?”

Sky rolls his eyes. “Jax, I don’t put anything up my butt.”

“Well, this sounds interesting,” a familiar, sexy voice says from the doorway.

I snap my head up to find Tanner standing there, an amused expression on his face. He’s taken off his suit jacket, but still has his vest and tie on and looks absolutely edible, especially with his shirtsleeves rolled back to reveal those toned forearms.

“I keep forgetting how hot he is,” Skyler whispers to me.

“Back off,” I growl, before turning back to Tanner and flashing a bright smile. “Hey! I didn’t think you’d be here until later. Hope you don’t mind these two being over here again.”

He shakes his head, smiling fondly. “Not at all. What are you guys up to?”

“We were just talking about—omf”Skyler curs off as I elbow him in the ribs to stop him from blurting out what I’ve told them about Drew and Sullivan. It’s bad enough I spilled the beans to these two, I don’t want it going any further. I trust Tanner, of course, but that’s not the point.

“Jackson and I were just kicking Sky’s ass,” I say, holding up the game controller.

“Only because it’s two against one,” Skyler says with a scowl.

“You want to even the field?” Tanner asks him.

Sky’s brows shoot up in skepticism. “Youwant to play?”

Tanner chuckles. “Don’t look at me like that. I’ve been playing video games since before you were born.”

“I don’t doubt it,” Skyler says under his breath. But he shrugs and holds up the spare controller.

Tanner strides over to us and takes the controller from Skyler’s hand.

“Do you know how to use it?” Sky asks. “This button here—”

“You realize this ishisPS, right Sky?” I say with an eye roll.
