“Fuck. I’m… Gods, I’ll make it up to you, sweetheart,” Rey panted against her neck, showering her sheened flesh with ravenous kisses as it finally slowed. He groaned as another thick surge filled her, an almost whine leaving his parted lips.

His enforced abstinence hadn’t hurt her alone.

“Yes, you will,” Devin murmured, turning her head to show him her smile before she pressed it against his lips. “Not that I’m complaining, but any reason we’re doing this down here and not in our very comfortable bed?”

“I couldn’t wait that long,” Rey husked against her neck, arms pulling her tighter as he let out another long groan.

“But why now?” Devin’s brows knit as she peered around the vast, empty space with a small shake of her head. “Why here?”

“You felt powerful. Strong. In control.” Rey grunted, rutting against her backside as he continued to fill her.

Devin sniffed only the once, but Rey began to soothe her immediately. Even as his body twitched and jolted, he crooned over her. Offering comfort Devin wasn’t sure she needed. Not with the crashing wave of pleasure filling her chest, hammering against her sternum from the inside.

He was right. She had felt that way. He’d waited so long, given her this moment to get that feeling back. Devin wanted him all the more.

“I ripped your clothes,” he said after an eternity filled with only their quiet sounds.

“Yep.”

“Let’s go fix that.”

“Huh?”

Chapter Four

“It’s being handled. Everything is getting to the people it needs to be,” Rey murmured as he pulled a hanger free of the bar and dangled it in front of Devin.

She rolled her eyes but took the deep plum skirt suit from him and arranged it on the rolling rack the very terrified salesgirl had supplied her with.

Once he’d stopped coming, Devin figured they would head home for act two. Rey had other plans, working the drying film of his release into her, scenting her from neck to toe. He’d cleaned off whatever didn’t absorb into her skin immediately then dressed Devin in his shirt.

Then they’d come here. Some upscale boutique which closed just for her to go poking around in. Devin knew Rey was important enough in the underworld, he wasn’t just some street corner thug. However, he wasn’t like Kahler, running the entire city. He didn’t have vast sums of wealth or the reputation for this to be commonplace. How he’d managed something like this was intriguing.

She hadn’t been able to pester him with questions yet. He’d let her loose in the store and immediately gotten on his phone.

The salesgirl made a small murmuring groan as Devin picked up a pale blue sweater. Looking in the mirror at the girl whose name Devin had yet to get, both dark brows were sent skyward.

“It’ll wash you out,” she whispered, fingers fluttering in the general direction of the sweater.

“Really?”

“You can wear it, just not—” The girl ducked her head, a shudder wracking her body as Rey’s shadow fell over her.

“She’ll wear what she damn well pleases,” he growled.

“Will you stop?” Devin huffed, elbowing her way past Rey to stand between him and the quaking clerk. Since she barely reached his chest, Devin knew the effect was less than comforting, but she tried for a soothing tone anyway. “What would you suggest?”

“You… You need darker, more saturated tones,” the girl whispered, fat tears gliding down her wan cheeks. “You can wear the paler stuff, just not close to your face.”

“Seriously, go away,” Devin said as she poked her finger into Rey’s chest.

“I better see you in whatever it is I’m buying.”

Devin flapped both hands at him, shooing him away before the poor girl could completely lose her composure. Turning to the salesgirl, she smiled. “Okay, um… What’s your name?”

“Diana.”

“Okay, Diana. Could you please help me pick out some stuff to show him?”
