"I love you too," I kiss her, and she wraps her arms around me.

"Get me down. I need to feed our kids."

For the next ten minutes, Ava gets the kids ready for breakfast with Aisling on her high chair and her sitting down with Niko in her arms. We are congratulated by everyone who passes us as. I couldn't be happier. Everything is as it should be. I'm happy with my family. Soon enough, Ava will be my wife, and everything will be as it should be.

Chapter Sixty Three

Fiona

I’m in my bedroom thinking about everything that has happened that has led to this moment.

This definitely can’t be good. As I leave Viktor’s office I know I need a plan and I need it quick. If I get a DNA test he will learn the truth. This baby I am carrying is not his. But I will be damned if I am going to let things fall apart this late in the game. I walk to my bedroom looking behind me making sure no one is following me. I quickly go inside my bedroom and lock the door. I can’t afford someone walking in while I make the call that I am dreading. But I don’t have a choice. I walk to my purse and grab my phone. Then walk to the bathroom and turn on the shower.

“Paranoid much Fiona,” I say to myself. I take a deep breath and dial. It’s a few rings before the phone is answered.

“Hi sweetheart, it’s late. Are you ok?”

“Hi mom. Is dad around?”

“Yes, he should be somewhere in the house.”

“Can you find him? I need to talk to him.”

“Why didn’t you just call him?”

“I guess I should have with all the questions you are asking. If you must know, I don’t want his number to pop up if someone looks.”

“Are you ok?”

“Mom, go find dad.” I tell her again annoyed. I love my mom but I swear sometimes she is useless. How hard is it to follow instructions?

“What do you want, woman?” I hear my dad in the background.

“Fiona is on the phone. She says she needs to talk to you.”

“Give me the damn phone.” I can hear he is in a bad mood and I am afraid I am not going to get the friendly dad I need right now.“What did you do wrong this time Fiona?”

“Hi daddy,” I start.

“Don’t hi daddy me and tell me what you did wrong so we can fix it.”

“Why do you always assume I’ve done something wrong?”

“Because it’s you. Now talk or let me be. I don’t have time to waste.” I take a deep breath. I need to rip it off like a band aid.

“Daddy, Viktor is asking for a DNA test.”

“Are you really surprised he would? He knows you Fiona.”

“I can’t give him a DNA test. If I do he will learn that the baby I’m carrying is not a Manarch.”

“For fuck sake. I know you aren’t stupid enough to sleep with another man since you returned from London.”

“No daddy. I was already pregnant.” I brace myself for whatever is coming. I might be his little girl but this is business. The only way for dad to get what he wants is by me giving birth to a Manarch. He has said so time after time.

“Always sleeping around. I don’t know why the hell I was not given a son. I wouldn’t be dealing with half the shit you have put me through.”

“I’m sorry daddy. I didn’t mean,” I start.
