One hour later…
Viktor’s ‘minute’ became a steamy hour, but I won’t complain. It’s hard to keep my hands off him. As I’m combing my hair into a ponytail, there’s a knock at the bedroom door.
“Come in,” I order.
Brenda enters with Aisling in her arms.
“Momma,” Aisling calls the moment she’s inside the bedroom.
“Hi, sweetheart.” I place down my brush and join them near the dresser.
“Sorry, Ava, she wouldn’t stop calling for you,” Brenda says.
I shoo off her worry with a wave of my hand. “It’s okay.” I take Aisling from Brenda before kissing the top of her head. “You look so beautiful.”
“Momma.”
“What is it? Do you want to play? How about we go to the playroom.” I lock my eyes with Brenda. “Where’s Niko?”
“He’s with Mr. Manarch in his office.”
“Thanks, Brenda. You can enjoy the rest of your day.”
She peers at me, surprised, “Are you sure?”
“Of course. I’m grateful for all you do for my kids.”
She smiles. “Thanks, Ava.”
We leave my bedroom and make our way downstairs. Brenda continues straight, and I turn left. When I reach Viktor’s office door, I notice it is ajar. My heart melts when I hear Niko’s laughter. It’s such a beautiful sound.
“Can we come in?” I push the door open before Viktor can answer me.
“Momma,” Niko calls before crawling to me. He is growing so fast.
“Dadda,” Aisling singsongs, as eager to get to Viktor as Niko is to reach me.
“How about Daddy comes to you so I can get your brother,” I suggest to Aisling.
“Set her down. I’m sure she’ll walk if we let her.”
My brows creep further together the longer I glance around the office. “Your office isn’t exactly baby-proof.”
Viktor laughs. “Close enough.”
When I shake my head, he laughs louder.
“Let’s take this party to the playroom,” I suggest.
He stands and grabs Niko. “Yes, boss.”
“You’d better remember that.”
He spanks my ass, waking my libido.
“Behave,” I warn him.
