Laughing, with our arms around each other, we walk out the doors to the sound of shutters clicking and a cacophony of questions being hurled our way.

I see the limousine but only comprehend that it's ours once Aaron's driver opens the door. I feel giddy. I can't believe he went through all this trouble just for me. I slide in on soft leather, and Aaron slides in after me. The door shuts, enclosing us in privacy. There is champagne on ice, and I start to panic. I pretend I don't see it and eagerly face Aaron, asking him to tell me about the premiere. For a moment, I forget that I'm in a predicament and enjoy the excitement Aaron has about the premiere letting it soak into me.

He pours me a glass of champagne, and we toast. I barely let the liquid touch my lips and then set the flute down. He looks at me strangely, but I distract him with tales about writing song lyrics for an actual artist and how much fun I'm having.

"She is so great to work with, Aaron, and her voice is amazing."

"Your dreams are coming true. You know, I'm your biggest number-one fan." We laugh at that since I haven't made it big yet, and probably won't for a few years.

Knowing Aaron has my back, though, fuels my ambition and motivation. No matter what happens to us romantically, I will fight to keep him in my life.

The ride to his house is full of scenery, and I curl up in his arms and watch it go by. My eyes are heavy, but I don't want to miss anything from this weekend.

We pull up into the drive and untangle ourselves from the back seat. Aaron helps me out of the car and lets the driver get our bags.

We walk in the door, and I'm hit with intense aromas. Aaron's living room is decorated with many flowers — roses, daisies, sunflowers, and lilacs. It seems Aaron has invested in a flower shop. It's a bit overwhelming. The smells especially make me lightheaded and nauseous, which usually doesn't happen. I love flowers, but the pregnancy is affecting my sense of smell.

He takes my bag to his spare room, which is strangely disappointing. I still feel lightheaded, though, so I sit on the bed to catch my breath.

"Hey, Aaron, are you planning anything else for the next few hours? If that's okay, I'd like to lie down and take a quick nap."

"Of course, take all the time you need." He looks at me for a few seconds, then turns and closes the door behind him as I lie down. I never realized that growing a person can take such a toll on the body. I lay my head on the pillow, and I was instantly asleep.

I'm awakened by a soft knock on the door.

I groggily say, "Come on in, Aaron."

He peeks his head in. "How are you feeling? You slept quite a bit."

I stretch and yawn, feeling rested.

"I'm fine. It was just the excitement of the trip and the busy schedule leading up to it. It all just caught up with me. Thanks for letting me sleep."

"Don't mention it. I need you rested because I have a great weekend planned for us."

Aaron is all nervous energy, something I have never seen before from him.

"I could ask you the same thing. Are you okay?"

"Uh, yeah, of course," he says with a nervous laugh. "I, um, have another surprise for you."

He grabs my hand and helps me off the bed. He leads me to his room, and on the bed is a large box tied with a lavender ribbon.

"Aaron, what did you do?" I ask and excitedly begin to undo the ribbon and rifle through the tissue paper.

Inside is the most beautiful dress I've ever seen, with a matching tiara. I look at Aaron, and he's smiling from ear to ear. The dress is a lavender ombre, dark at the bottom and lightening as it gets to the bodice, which is strapless. The whole dress has tiny rhinestones that shimmer in every direction. The dainty tiara has genuine amethyst and diamonds embedded in white gold. It's breathtaking.

"I want this to be a special night for you, for us. I have a makeup and hair specialist coming over and a nail artist as well. Oh, and this." Aaron hands me a black velvet box, and I take it with shaky hands.

Inside is a choker necklace that matches the tiara, plus matching earrings and a bracelet.

"Aaron, this is too much," I say, but my smile gives me away. I already feel like a princess and am not even dressed yet.

"I just want this night to be memorable." Aaron comes over and wraps his arms around me.

My pleasure seems to give him pleasure as well. It seems out of character for him, and I wonder what else he has planned for the weekend.

"Now, hurry up and shower. The beauty specialists will be here to get you ready in about 15 minutes." He pats my bottom, and I hurry off.
