The number of times I’ve gotten a peach emoji from Dixon…well, I’ve lost count.

“He’s a nice boy, a good one. He needs you.”

“Yeah. And I need him,” I reply and then watch as Holden turns around on his heels and smiles at me, his eyes twinkling.

And there goes my heart, pounding in my chest.

I’m gonna marry him one day.

I almost blurt that out but am suddenly distracted by Bob approaching us, a wig on his head. He must have gotten into Molly’s room again and stole back what he thought was rightfully his. I warned my parents about him, so they know to stay away.

“Is this the infamous Bob?” Ginny asks and then bends down and makes kissy noises at him.

Bob cocks his wig-adorned head and then starts to pee.

Her nose scrunches up. “Ew, what a perv.”

“Yeah, remember, don’t leave your windows open,” I tell them as we move past.

Bob follows along after us, keeping his distance, but keeping up all the same.

“He’s probably lonely, needs a friend,” Ginny says and then asks, “Why hasn’t anyone brought over a friend for him?”

“We’re just waiting for another monkey to row over in a canoe,” Holden says and then smiles over at me.

He moves back to my side and slides a hand around my waist. I feel his fingers tickle the skin on my side and I feel my hormones rush through me almost instantly. It hasn’t gotten old with him, not in the least. He’s just as attracted to me as I am to him. We’re almost rabid at times, ripping each other’s clothes off, frothing, panting, rutting.

We are insatiable.

“Bob will find his partner one day. They’ll come along when he least expects it.”

“Just like with me, huh?” I ask and press a kiss to the corner of his mouth.

“Yeah, Chase, just like you.”
