While I wanted to push him away for being too close, I couldn’t help but see the spark in his hard eyes. He might’ve been the ruthless alpha who was a borderline asshole, but he had a reason to be. And, well … seeing him happy made my stomach flutter.

“Okay,” I said, not really loving their answer, but it was the only one they seemed to have for me.

So, after Gaian said he’d catch up with us, I followed Thayer and Calder out of the pack house and through the woods to the … prison?

“You’re bringing me to the pack prison?” I asked, hesitantly stepping into the cold and dark room. I shivered at the memory of being here yesterday, of killing that man and not regretting a second of it. “You’re not going to make me kill someone else today, are you?”

“No,” Thayer said, taking my hand and leading me toward one of the back rooms. When Calder opened the door, it reeked of the blood of different species, but especially humans. Torture devices hung from the walls, whips and chains and spikes. “We’re bringing you here so we can strap you down and bring out each of the species inside you.”

I eyed a steel seat cemented into the ground with heavy cuffs and chains for someone’s ankles and wrists. They both nodded to it at the same time, and I grimaced at the steel chair. Once I sat, they bound my ankles and wrists.

“Why do we have to do this?”

Flashbacks of when I used to be restrained, of when Dad would do experiments on me in a chair similar to this one, rushed through my head. I blinked back the tears and pushed away the memories, knowing that my guys wouldn’t do this to hurt me.

Gaian stepped into the room behind Calder and arched a brow. “Kinky.”

“It’s a safety precaution,” Thayer said, cutting his gaze to Calder and Gaian. “If I had it my way, you would be free, but because these idiots wanted to be here with me today, we have to do this the hard way. They’re afraid of you.”

“We’re not afraid of her,” Calder said.

“Seems like it,” Thayer taunted.

“You were the fucking one who suggested restraining her.”

“In the fuckin’ bedroom, yeah. Not to train her.”

Calder growled, “Whatever. But what if we awaken each of the beasts inside her, bring them to their max level, and she fucking goes berserk?”

“Youareafraid of me.” My lips curled into a smile. “Don’t worry. I won’t hurt you,Alpha.”

After Thayer chuckled, he continued to secure my chains. I willingly let him do so because they were right. I might’ve hadsomecontrol yesterday with Thayer, but who knew if I would stay in control today? Yesterday, Thayer had taken one hell of a risk with letting me free.

And with another mark on my neck and more power swelling inside me … I didn’t want to kill any of my mates.

Thayer crouched down beside me, finishing the last chain. “I want to see how fucking strong your beast is today,” Thayer said, gently gripping my chin. “How strongyouare, Sina.”

We spenttwo hours luring each species that lived inside me to come out and play—vampire, werewolf, demon, and fae. With each new species that appeared, Thayer would push them to their absolute limits, antagonizing them the way he said demons loved doing.

I struggled through the pain, the hurt, the agony.

It made me stronger. It forced me to see exactly what I was and how I could possibly control my powers in order to kill my father and now, apparently, my ex-boyfriend too. Calder had a field day, telling me what Thayer had learned about him.

Thayer cut his palm and placed it right under my nose, so I inhaled the blood. My teeth lengthened into deadly fangs for the second time today, and I ached to drink the blood from his hand. The mere scent brought back memories of yesterday when he had brought me here and let me suck out his blood as he filled me with cum.

Darius was still heavy in my thoughts, but I had to force myself to focus. A feral growl escaped my throat, and I lunged forward toward Thayer’s hand as he swiftly pulled it away. I drew my tongue against the tips of my fangs and strained against the chains.

A screw popped out from the cuff around my leg ankle, and Thayer smirked. “Good.”

“Give me blood,” I shrieked. “Now.”

When Thayer placed his hand against my mouth, I licked the blood from it and sealed the wound closed by licking the wound—just like a wolf sealed a mate’s mark. In the heat of the moment and in desperate need ofmoreblood, I snapped my eyes toward the door and inhaled sharply.
