I squirmed in his hold and considered snapping at him that if he wanted me to run, he'd better quit with the dirty talk and start being actually frightening.

"Beast," I gasped out, and this time my arousal was obvious, Khell's nostrils flaring in answer, his snarl flashing into a brief grin.

"Do you know what tastes good to an orc? What flavors the cunt to our liking?"

I licked my lips. This game was failing terribly. I was ready to climb Khell, not run from him. "What?"

"Fear, sweat, panic," he hissed, expression growing stern and dangerous again.

Then you're shit out of luck, buddy.

"And I am hungry, little human. I am so hungry, I would sink my teeth into you. I'd drink you down and feast on you."

Khell's head ducked, and his teeth gripped gently at the curve of my neck and shoulder, tusks digging in more insistently until I whined at the dull pain.

He retreated and I was arched in his hold, breaths gasping, my hips pressing forward against his thigh for the comfort of pressure.

"You must run, petal," Khell whispered, the words vibrating over my skin, my eyes falling shut on a weak sigh. "You must run, if I'm to get my feast."

My body tightened all at once, and Khell's hands released me so suddenly that I might've fallen over if I wasn't immediately in motion. I don't know what direction I turned, only away, charging toward the trees. Khell'ar roared behind me, and a flood of birds took up from their nests with bright cries, my own winded shriek joining theirs.

He knew me so well. I was too giddy at every delicious and dangerous suggestion. I would never run, not unless it was for him. I was mastered so easily.

I was also not a runner. My lungs began to burn first, my breaths heaving with effort, my feet burning and aching in their flat and weak shoes, drumming pain up into my calves. The trees blurred around me, the ground uneven, and I swerved in a new direction. Was he following? Was he hunting me? His cum from the morning and my own arousal were sticky between my thighs, the running chafing.

Khell appeared suddenly from around a tree trunk on my right and I screamed, more out of surprise than terror. I stumbled back and hit a root with the heel of my foot, my balance faltering and sending me nearly to my ass, tree branches spinning above me.

But no, Khell's hands caught me, his claws digging into my hips, his laugh ragged and snarling as he set me back on my feet, braid swinging and slapping against his shoulders. I twisted out of his grip easily and ran again, and the laugh grew richer behind me, somehow menacing and thrilling at the same time. There was another roar, one that I thought shook the earth beneath my stumbling feet, but I swore the sound was full of pride.

Sunlight was cutting through branches and trunks, the woods almost like static as I rushed. I could hear Khell behind me now, running on my left, his steps broad and heavy and thumping, catching up with me quickly. He was herding me to the right again, driving me toward whatever destination he wanted.

Playful defiance rose up in me, the sudden desire to be the brat rather than Khell's good little pet, and I charged in a sudden left turn, the exact opposite direction in which he was trying to chase me.

Khell'ar growled as I neared him, out of arm's reach and making his steps stumble this time. I was grinning, breathless and aching at every rough step, but for a moment I felt victorious in surprising him.

Then he launched himself at me, crashing into me and wrapping his limbs around my body. The world jostled and spun as he tackled me down to the forest floor, the last air in my lungs knocked out. He was careful with me even then, keeping me from hitting the ground, one hand cupped around the back of my head. We rolled until he was pinned heavily on top of me, the sky bright above us through the trees, his eyes glinting with humor.

"Did you want to be caught so soon, petal?" he huffed.

Orcs heal quickly, I remembered him saying. I brought my knee up to his groin, watched his eyes widen in shock, a sudden bark pulled from his lips, and he released me to the dirt and grass and leaves. I rolled away from him as he laughed and growled, and I climbed up to my knees.

A hand gripped around my ankle and pulled me flat again, Khell's laugh louder, my skirt rucked up to expose my ass.

"Naughty little human, rough and ready like her orc."

I kicked, and Khell'ar grunted as the heel of my shoe connected with some part of him, I think his chest. His hand pulled the shoe off, but my foot was free, and I lunged up and ran forward again, Khell howling with delight behind me.

I shook my second shoe off and continued barefoot, wincing at the sting of debris on my feet but delighted with my triumph against my orc. He would catch me, I was sure of it, but I wasn't making it easy for him.

I'm probably not allowed to kick and hit my partner, I realized, but Khell was following, growling and snarling and roaring behind me, letting me hear him race closer. He was pleased with me, I was sure.

We were nearing a truly enormous tree, the trunk so broad both Khell and I could've stood comfortably inside of it together. I planned to weave left and then right, hoping to fool Khell, when I felt the waist of my dress snag in his grip.

I yelped and slipped free once, but I made the mistake of looking over my shoulder.

He was there, more massive and terrifying than ever, face wild with the chase, teeth bared. My breath caught in my chest, and then his arm snapped around my middle, hauling me off my feet.

"Keep fighting, little human," Khell growled. "I like to conquer."
