I huffed. "That's the problem, I think. He says he's not sure he can stand to share me."

"Does he intend to wait us out?" Laszlo asked, a bite of offense in his tone.

"I have no idea what he intends. He barely speaks to me lately."

Laszlo hummed and twisted his fingers into my hair, letting his talons trail along the back of my neck, drawing a shiver through my body. "Asterion will either have to accept the situation or leave you both endlessly disappointed. I think the other night was a good sign."

"If only I'd seen so much as horn or tail of him since," I muttered, cuddling closer to Laszlo.

It was such a relief to feel settled with one of my men—such a surprise too. I found myself smiling once more, kissing Laszlo's throat, stroking his chest with my hand. When had my protests started to melt away? I wanted this. I wanted to belong to Laszlo. I wanted to possess him too.

And not just him.

Asterion had told me I held a terrible power over him, and now I wanted to wield that strength, over him and all the others.

"You're getting an idea," Laszlo said.

I grinned. "How can you tell?"

"You're squirming, and you have a very pretty blush on your cheeks. Have I mentioned how much I like your ideas?"

I laughed and twisted, resting my chin on Laszlo's chest. "I'm not sure if this one is…maybe a little cruel. And unfair to you and Hywel and Conall."

"Will I enjoy the part I have to play in this plan?"

"Mmm, undoubtedly," I purred, sliding my leg over Laszlo's hips, pushing up to straddle his lap and press my palms to his chest. I stared down at him, and his eyes lit up.

"Ahh. I see," he said, voice growing thick as he bucked his hips to tease me. "Then I'm happy to help, dearmate. However you need me."

"I always need you," I said, shrugging away thoughts of anyone else. Perhaps I did have a wicked plan, but Laszlo and I deserved this moment just for ourselves too.

Laszlo smiled up at me, hands stroking up under my skirt, hiking it up my hips. "I am always yours, Evanthia."

Mine.

My fingers tightened on Laszlo's shirt, and I dove down to claim my lovely gryphon mate's mouth.

CHAPTER35

TAMING THE MINOTAUR

Asterion knew the moment I stepped into the training room. His back was to me, and his bare shoulders tensed and flexed, muscles tightening with every step closer as I approached. He was glistening with sweat, heavy weights fisted in both his hands. My own sweat had just barely dried on my skin as I'd walked downstairs, and the cum dripping out of me was still slick—a messy mixture of all my lovers. I'd had to wrestle Conall to keep him from licking it out of me after we'd settled.

"I've come to train," I called.

Asterion's long tail switched at his back, slapping against his calves—an agitated twitch of warning.

"Not today," he growled.

"Yes, today. Now."

"Evanthia—" he started, turning, and then his voice stuttered and died as he faced me.

The robe I wore—in case I ran into Rolant in the castle—was untied, the folds of fabric gaping open, revealing my marked skin. Red kisses sucked into my flesh, the grip of desperate hands, my sex swollen and still tender.

Hywel had wholeheartedly approved of my scheme and emptied himself inside of me three times before letting me run off to find Conall.

I was filthy, claimed. I was so thoroughly gorged onnéktarthat my hair was curling, skin glowing, eyes bright and almost crystal blue. I was a daughter of Hedone, and right now anyone on earth would recognize that truth. I shrugged the shoulders off, letting the silk drip over my breasts and then down to the floor to pool around my feet. I tried not to smile as Asterion groaned, body hunching forward.
