"Blodyn bach, did you know?" Hywel asked.

I shook my head and let my eyes fall shut again as the room spun and jostled in my vision. "But it wanted to go to him."

It wanted to go to Ronan and Ezra too, I suspected, and I wasn't sure how much they would need, how much I could spare. But Hazel sobbed out a praise of relief, reaching across Hunter to squeeze my shoulder in thanks. We needed every pair of hands and claws and wings we could find. So I would pour my strength out, if that was what it took.

"Easy does it,mo chroí," Conall whispered, brushing his thumb down the back of my neck as he settled himself on the floor behind me. "Can't pour from an empty bucket, darling."

"These bandages itch," Hunter groused on the floor, tugging his hand from mine. It was fine—the current had shrunk again almost to nothing. He was well enough not to need my help. I raised my hand up in the direction I'd last seen Ronan.

"Are you—are you sure?" the imp asked gently.

I stretched my other hand out to where Ezra sat, almost sleeping, in an armchair. "It's going to you anyway. It hurts less when we touch."

They'd both grasped my hand before I finished the sentence, and my breath hitched as the twin and opposing ropes of energy left me.

"Shit, it's like a snuff of cocaine," Ezra muttered.

"Was worried it'd make mearoused," Ronan joked, until Conall growled softly and the conversation turned in a more serious direction

The plans were laid out once more, Hunter apparently so recovered he could contribute new orders and suggestions. My head was swimmy, and the words were getting soft. Ezra pulled away first with a kiss against my knuckles, and Conall was licking my bite mark on my throat, shivery wisps of offerednéktarleaving me before they had a chance to soak in.

Hywel's voice broke through the haze, minutes or hours later. "That's enough."

"She's asleep, I think," Conall whispered, lifting me from the floor.

"She gave too much," Hywel muttered, taking me from Conall's arms.

"I know where to get more," I slurred out, winking one eye open only to find two identical Hywels frowning down at me.

Two heads. Two cocks. I snorted, and someone huffed behind me. I tried to twist to see who, but Hywel grunted and clutched me closer to keep me from diving out of his arms.

"Take care of her. Conall and I will ready our bags," Laszlo murmured.

Hywel sighed, and I bounced as we headed for the door. "Come along, my dear."

"What does Dr. Underwood order for my recovery?" I asked, laughing, when I was sure an hour ago nothing in the world had been funny.

Hywel chuckled though, so it must've been at least a little amusing. "Never mind him. I have averycomprehensive plan in place. My pretty morsel needs fed, and I myself amveryhungry."

CHAPTER43

THE PATH TO VENGEANCE

Istood on the staircase of Grace House, overlooking the busy activity in the grand room below, and wondered which had changed more—myself or this house of women, no longer silent but active and serious, earnest and eager to help.

Isabel still reigned as queen, ordering her troops with a calm confidence and a gentle tone that she now offered to the monsters who milled about as well.

"Marius is putting up a stink," Lillian whispered in my ear.

My lips twitched. Marius was, in fact, standing still and silent, glaring up at us as he waited for the others by the door.

"He doesn't want to fight?" I asked.

Lillian sighed and leaned against my shoulder. She was more affectionate than ever, and seeing her again was the one bright spot in an agonizingly tense and desperate series of days.

"He does. But he once left me alone to go and help fight, and I ended up in trouble. He swore never to do it again—intended on leaving the battles to Asterion and the rest, I think. But he has a nobler nature than he likes to admit," she said.

Noble, maybe, I thought.Bloodthirsty was more likely.
