"You said you wanted to devour us, dear one," Laszlo whispered, sitting up, curving an arm under my shoulder and smoothing my hair back from my face as Hywel shook me with his driving pace. "That you could not be filled."

"I-I—Please," I gasped, eyes growing wide, gaze flashing between the two men. I had said those words, hadn't meant for Laszlo to hear them, only wanted to shut Asterion out or draw him in—I didn't know really. But they were true, and I desperately wanted the cure, as if it could be found in this beautiful and base act, as if Hywel could—

Hywel stiffened, his cocks swelling once more inside of me, a sudden sharp pressure snapping through me, another great boom of release. He came and the sudden burst and flood in my core forced my own orgasm, a clawing, raging creature of ecstasy, one that stole my breath and turned my blood to fire and wiped my vision clean.

Laszlo held me and murmured soft, meaningless words, his talon still lightly circling on my clit as Hywel pumped inside of me, one dazzling rush after another. My lungs seized and burned until suddenly I was breathing again, gasping, Hywel's weight settling above me, the pair of us cradled in Laszlo's embrace. Mouths stroked over my throat and cheeks, lips pulling my own into heady kisses.

My vision cleared and my body thrummed, and I caught the dragon and gryphon kissing, heads resting against one another before they hunted for another press, a murmur of an old language on their lips. Hywel was still emptying himself inside of me with little jerks, a shocking pool of slippery warmth growing beneath us, and he pulled away from Laszlo only to return to me, kissing my temple, my earlobe, sagging on top of me. Laszlo joined him, brushing his fingers into my hair, pecking kisses at my shoulder.

It was the haze ofnéktar, so thick it ran like syrup down my throat with every breath. Or it was the depth and stretch and pressure of Hywel inside me, on top of me, Laszlo surrounding us with a blanket of wings. Or it was the brief and hazy peace that came with release.

But for a moment, I did not feel empty.

"I didn't realizethe severity of the nightmares," Asterion said, pacing in front of the fireplace.

"That's what comes of avoiding a young woman's delightful company," Hywel answered, stretched along the large couch, one of his legs bent over my lap, trapping me in the seat between him and Laszlo.

"I assumed they were a result of my recovery," I admitted, shrugging.

"You accepted them as such," Laszlo said, glancing at me out of the corner of his eyes. "You took them as—"

Hywel's foot nudged his lover's thigh, and Laszlo fell silent.

As punishment.

For what?I wondered. What was I to be punished for? My brow furrowed and I stared into the flames, occasionally interrupted by Asterion's passing stride.

"Then he is reaching her," Asterion said. "From such a distance? Is there a link we can destroy?Théa, did he ever give you anything? A…tonic, or—"

"I was fed and denied many things, Asterion," I said, eyebrows raising.

"There are no marks on her, no tokens," Hywel mused. "It's more likely that the connection exists because she fears and thinks of him. Little toad of a man that he is."

"He is more powerful now, Your Majesty," Asterion said, but there was an edge to the title that hinted at mockery.

"He is a parasite latched onto powerful monsters. But none more powerful than—"

Laszlo cleared his throat. "Less ego, if you please, and more solutions for Evanthia."

"She will sleep with me," Hywel said, waving a careless hand and shrugging. "Problem solved. And then we will kill him, and there won't be a problem at all."

Asterion stilled and glared at Hywel, eyes just bare sparks in the shadow, the orange glow of the fire surrounding him, mythical and huge in its halo. "She is free tochoose—"

"I will sleep with Hywel. By choice," I said, not wanting another ridiculous argument about my ability to choose from the man who elected toignoreme when I chose him.

And then Asterion flinched.

I wanted to strangle him, but his neck was too big for my hands.

"But I would like… If thereissome connection, some link that makes it possible for Birsha to enter my dreams, I want it broken," I said.

"I've started my research, but Hywel will be able to get a better sense of how your mind is being invaded," Laszlo answered.

"It will require leaving you vulnerable to start," Hywel said, reaching down and drawing my hand in his to his lap, somewhat conveniently poised above the mounds of his cocks. "I swear I will shut him out as soon as possible, even if I can't tell how he enters."

I considered the promise, aware of the three sets of stares watching me. "I've survived them thus far." I squeezed Hywel's hand in mine before he could point out how narrowly I'd escaped my most recent nightmare attack. "I'd rather you learned what you needed to know than draw me to safety before it's necessary."
